Overall, I was very pleased with the bed frame (Twin XL) for my niece. The frame is very sturdy when assembled, and yes, the feet on the legs have protective ends to avoid scratching the floor or carpet. I think for the price, this bed frame is very good value, has very clean lines, and provides plenty of space underneath for storage. I watched the videos for assembling, which was a big help. While I brought a battery drill with me, I didn't have the correct allen head tips, so I used the spanner and allen head wrench provided in the kit. I think they did a fantastic job putting together the kit. Each piece is powder coated and labeled by letter, as were the individual bolts and nuts that were separated into individual compartments. The instructions were clear and I was able to assemble everything on my own in about an hour. I didn't need to open the spare parts. The only suggestion I have for assembling is to tighten the lower bolts for the end cross pieces before inserting and tightening the upper bolts. The welding where the bottom bolt is inserted is so close, the spanner cannot grip the nylock nut fully if the top bolt was already inserted and tightened.

I got two, one for my mom's bed and one for mine. I was the person who put the beds together and with the instructions I was able to put each together in a out twenty minutes each. All the needed tools come with the frame and the only added information I would suggest is when you are working on part f is put the but and screw in the bottom hole first and then the top ones, otherwise it is a bit tricky. Below our beds is plenty of room for storage, and our dog has taken residence with some pillows and blankets placed there for her. We both noticed that after sleeping in the frames that our bed became much firmer (they were previously on the floor) and our sleep quality improved. A few days in the quality is holding up well, and it is made with a metal so it looks nice. I would suggest if you have wood floors that you get something to put under the posts to prevent scratching. The beds seem much higher than the photos but we can easily get on and off, so if you have young kids, elderly individuals, or animals who need help after certain heights to be vary of it's height. Overall I think it works great as a base, I have no issues with any noise of the platform. I would suggest this to others!

This was surprisingly easy for one person to put together. The hinged sides are a big help (no work there) and the packaging of the bolts, screws and required tools is thoughtfully packaged for ease of assembly. If you're working alone, I recommend setting the hinged side panels atop the seats of four chairs two seats for each side). The instructions were clear and concise. The only minor issue was the attachment of the legs with two screws lined up vertically. Don't attach the top screw first as there is a flange beneath the bottom screw that makes it inaccessible from the bottom once the top screw is in place. (If I had looked in that area on the inside of the frame, I would have realized this.) This is comfortable sturdy enough for continued use.

I bought this for a bed for Mom's caregivers. I like that it's taller, so easier for them to get in to. We put a mattress on it (no box springs), and the whole thing has been working well. The mattress has not slid around, which I'd been worried about. (If that had been an issue, I was just going to put it in a corner of the room.) Personal belongings fit easily underneath, and it's easy to clean under. My husband put it together, and reports that it wasn't too problematic. It seems sturdy and well made.
