This adjustable shelf really is nice: ignore the bad reviews... they are way too picky! Yes, this is some type of composite board, but it is fairly heavy, very dense, and finely grained and well painted on the cut edges. The decorative, scroll type ends must be done with a laser or something, because they are very precise. I got 2 of the white ones to put all along the back of my desk... they make such good use of the space - moving things up vertically, so more room on the desk itself. All the parts come together and shrink wrapped. They were very intuitive and easy to put together. ... show more

I think the overall appearance and functionality of the shelves is top notch. The different configurations are great and I’ve moved them around a few times to fit my desk as I’ve reorganized it. I’m not sure why everyone is so upset it’s not wood, because it doesn’t say it is. Most furniture isn’t nowadays. Despite that, it seems very sturdy. The heavy books that are lying down were on the top shelf for awhile and they held up perfect. Assembly is easy but you do need to force the ends onto the four connectors but then it is SO sturdy. Press evenly so you don’t bend it. My biggest concerns and the only reason it’s not 5 starts were there is a haze over the black shelves that won’t go away with cleaning including some scratches even though it was packaged snugly. When you touch it the fingerprints are SO visible. The visible silver screws are an eyesore. I plan on painting them black. They also sent me a white shelf when I ordered black the first time so having to wait longer was a bummer. ... show more

I ordered this for some extra desk top storage. I didn't expect to be impressed and was curious how it could be adjustable and transform to so many different configurations (Hint: It's two separate pieces). As someone else mentioned, I received the incorrect color first. I just sent it back for a refund and ordered another one. The second time, I was sent the correct color. In their defense, it does say white in the description, but you can select other colors/options. Edit: I decided to purchase another unit, however, while it was a good deal at $16, there is no way I would pay $23, the current price. I'll wait a little bit to see if the price drops, if not, I look for something else. It went together easily, especially with the gentle help of a small hammer to get the tabs in the corresponding holes. The included screw driver is super cute and does its job. It came with several extra screws. I don't like that there are no screw caps but I just got out my permanent marker and, voila, the screw heads were semi camouflaged. I love that I am able to adjust it to the space where I want it. When it is not extended, there is about a half inch of wasted space running the length between the two pieces. I suppose one could put a small note pad in there, then it wouldn't be wasted. For an inexpensive shelving unit, it is well worth the price. Overall, I am quite happy with this product and have no hesitancy to recommend it to others. ... show more

Bought this shelving unit for added desktop storage. Very sturdy, adjustable and super easy to assemble. It’s not made of wood, but it’s hard to tell with the design. Highly recommend👍🏽!

I like the shelf’s cutouts that appear artistic. I did not like that while putting shelf’s together I had different pieces break. The material seems light and not as sturdy as I would expect.

This was super easy to put together and is very sturdy!!! You can kinda move them around one way or the other depending on how you want them to sit. It’s a perfect edition to my desk! I love the different levels it has and it actually does hold a lot! :)
