I love giving these as gifts. I put one in every car/GHB and also put them in BOBs. I like that they have a light, a radio, multiple ways to charge, and a USB port that you can charge by hand cranking the battery. Will your arm get tired? Sure - but if no power is available and you need it to work fast, having options is important. It is light weight without feeling overly cheap. It is easy to use and while not tiny, it can be hooked onto a bag using a molle clip around the handle. If you have a ham walkie with integrated radio channels maybe you don't need this - but most people aren't going to do that and no walkies I have seen have the ability to hand crank to generate power.

I use this for a bedside radio and its alright. The digital volume control works well. 2 is just loud enough to hear, and the drain on the battery is tiny. I can play it maybe 8 hours per night for ten days or more before the battery runs down. The hand crank is tiresome, but it works. Solar charging requires a lot of bright sun. I just charge it with the usb anyway.

Radio seems to do everything as advertised. I've checked all features after having it for a few days. I haven't drained the battery so I can't mention how long a full charge would last. Overall, it is what I was expecting for the price. Negatives: The instructions (in English) are very brief; setting time, turning it on, and other things require various presses of different buttons I would never remember if I lost the instructions (hint: I trimmed the instructions a bit, folded it, and it fits nicely under the solar panel flap (I used some tape to make sure the flap doesn't pop-up and drain the battery)).. Instructions also give two ways to set the Alarm, the first instruction for the alarm doesn't work. I've had it for a few days and the batter indicator is continually flashing even though I know it is fully charged (directions say this means it needs to be charged); it is flashing, but I think it might be indicating it has 4 bars of charge - I guess?? Positives: I was concerned it would be too small and toy-like, but it is the right size to keep on a shelf or somewhere handy, but out of site.

My aunt, who is in her 80's, absolutely loved this. I gave it to her as a gift, right after Helene hit our area. I charged it up over night, and it kept going for a week afterwards. She listened to the radio, used it as a nightlight, and set the alarm so she could get up and feed her cats on their normal schedule. Overall, she was very impressed, and now we both have on, on stand by, just in case disaster hits again.

This radio is a great size. I have not had to use it in an emergency, however, I did test the functions. The flashlight is super powerful. I did charge it via usb, and it charged fairly quickly. The radio was clear and had plenty of volume. I plan to take it camping, as well as have it on hand for emergency use.

This was bought as a Father's day gift. He loves a radio that he can carry around with him and listen to when he works outside or in the basement. Reception and sound is good. He did need help setting up the radio and weather stations for our area. He loves the light for reading. It's easy to use. He especially likes that it flips up and casts enough light to read by. What he didn't like about it was that the batteries don't come out Apparently that's a big deal so I took off a star for that. Value for the price..he's happy with it and that makes me happy
