The colors of this 12-strand metallic embroidery floss are sparkly and more beautiful in real life! ♥️ I've used rose, purple, silver, and gold so far on my fairies on my free-handed fairy land embroidery project (see photo) and I plan to add royal blue to the river to finish it. This was a good deal. It's EQUIVALENT to 18 full skeins at 8.75 yards(or 8 meters) each of embroidery floss for $7 AND the 2nd best part (1st best part is the price and the sparkle) is that the floss was pre-wound onto the bobbins. I hate having to take the time to wind my floss so having it pre-wound is a huge time saver for me. I only saw one bobbin where the thread had been tied together. That may bother some but considering I cut lengths of up to 18 " when embroidering, I'm not going to complain if one bobbin has thread that's tied together only in one place especially considering the low price I paid for it. I totally recommended this floss if you are looking to add sparkle to your embroidery or other craft project. *********NOTE: ********** To those who've never used metallic embroidery floss.... this floss does NOT behave the same way as cotton floss. It's just its nature to behave differently. It doesn't separate the same way as cotton floss BUT IT DOES SEPARATE EASILY IF after you've cut the length to work with you separate the ends and pull 2 or 3 strands straight up out of the length of the 12 strands. If you try to split it and pull in opposite directions, you'll get a knotty mess. Again, this is the nature of it and is not a problem if you know how to work with it. In summary, I'm pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to others. Thank you.

I used this thread to cross-stitch on a Christmas stocking. It was terrible to thread because it kept coming unraveled. However, once I was finished with the work, it turned out just gorgeous. I would advise anyone using it for embroidery or cross stitch to use a needle with a larger eye if you can, and continue to "unwind" the thread or it will wind around itself and cause knots. I wasted a lot of thread because of this problem, but I am quite happy with the final results.

The floss arrived already spun onto the little cards which I was so happy about. There's not a ton of each color but there's enough for a bunch of projects. Very slippery, and doesn't like to stay together on the ends but that's not a dealbreaker for me.
