The media could not be loaded. Title says it all. Note, our son has had another hoverboard, along with his sisters, for over the past year and hasn't had any issues riding them. We got this for our son "from Santa" for Christmas. He used it Christmas morning without any issues. We recharged it and when he went to ride it the following day it malfunctioned immediately, quickly spinning around and stopping, causing him to fall. Upon inspection one side is not calibrating when it turns on or something of the sort. There are two green lights, one on each side, indicating that it is ready, and one does not light up. When using our hand to test it, it will no longer turn. This is extremely disappointing, not only because it was a Christmas gift, but because for the price it has malfunctioned after being used only once.

It is fun design and great quality boards, however, not for younger kids. Got it for my 5 year old son (45lbs). It turned out he was not heavy enough. Every time he was trying to ride it, his hover board started to vibrate and almost throwing him of the board. The reason was that the sensors were not getting enough weight to make sure that there is a rider. My 6 years old had the same problem, but not that often. My weight is 112 and it worked just fine. The heavier kid, the better it runs. Got my son a different brand from Walmart, (because he couldn't wait much longer) and it works just fine.

This is by far my son’s favorite Xmas gift this year and mine as well!! Every year I get my son something extra special and this year it was a hoverboard. I was hesitant to buy this because imagining him on a self riding “skateboard” type thing made me nervous. Not to mention the butterflies I had taking him out for his first ride. I was wrong to have any nerves at all, it has been amazing! He was riding it easily on grass within ten minutes and then moved to concrete and was riding it like a pro within twenty minutes or so. This has been the best Xmas gift I’ve gotten him in a couple years! Not to mention it was incredibly affordable! I’m blown away, we had the tunes going while he raced around for a couple hours this afternoon. Definitely a phenomenal hoverboard for younger kids!!!
