Second day, will update if needed - works as expected - simple assembly, fairly quiet compared to my old compressor, delivers enough air to do what I need, holds pressure - overall liking it so far. It did arrive with some damage (box was pretty beat up, you could see things had popped out of the slots in the Styrofoam) both wheels have minor damage (will probably work fine as-is), one air filter is completely crushed - have contacted EMAX directly via email on their website, will see how they respond and update. This this is the quietest compressor I’ve ever run. Can have a normal conversation while it’s running just a few feet away. The recovery speed is decent, especially if your just running smaller nail guns. And its a smooth running machine.     • A good Air Compressor with just 1 flaw

This is an excellent little air compressor. It was pretty easy to put together except for the filter piece. The instructions say and show it on the side, but it does not go there. It goes on the front, so for that, I had to count this down a bit. I got it just so I could air up car/truck/bike tires. The one big problem is with moving this unit around. The handle does not point upwards. Its pretty level with the height of the compressor. In order to move the compressor from 1 place to another, I have to stoop down to grasp the handle. If it was about a foot or so higher, it would be perfect. Im 6' tall, so for me, moving this around does not work at all. The issue is not a big deal for me because I have a long air hose, which allows me to leave the air compressor in the same place all the time. But if you are tall like me, or taller, and you plan on having to move this unit around, you wont like it because you will always be having to stoop down to move it by the handle. The unit is pretty quiet. The only thing I have to compare it to is the 30 year old monster air compressor that I replaced, so I do not know how quiet or noisy other newer air compressors are. It seems pretty quiet to me, but not whisper quiet like I have read others say. With my old unit, when it was on, I could barely stand the noise level in the garage. With this one, I can stay in the garage when its on. The unit takes quite a long time to completely fill with air. Not a issue really as long as you give yourself plenty of time when turning it on before you plan on using it. With my old one, when airing up tires, it took quite a while just to get 5 pounds of air in a tire. With this unit, I was able to get 5 pounds of air into a tire in just a few seconds. So overall, I love this air compressor, with the exception of having to stoop down to move it around. ... show more

This replaces Craftsman compressor that was painfully noisy. I measured the sound with my phone and got 80 db standing right next to it. Ambient noise was 45 db so this guy is very quiet. My old compressor was horizontal so the vertical tank takes much less space. I prefer the 10 gallon tank because it builds pressure rapidly. The 20 gallon would take twice as long. If I ever need a larger tank, I can add my old one. I picked this because of two reasons. 1. specs are excellent 2. I'm buy from the manufacturer in the US. I have a chance of getting parts if I have trouble. Most other compressors in this price range are private label and parts seem to be a problem. I'll run it a bunch over the next week and update if I have trouble. Update: I used it with an impact wrench and all is good. BTW: the motor & possibly the compressor pump is made in China. I'm still glad I didn't buy from a box store. Look up emac & you'll see they are major players in compressors. Update: It's now May 28, 2023 and I still love it. One thing is that it is a 10 gallon not 20 as the title says. The model number has 10 toward the end. The 20 gallon has 20. ... show more

Almost two weeks since I ordered the Hulk compressor, it’s sits on my doorstep. I open the box and it looks like it was beat to hell, I’ve never received anything that had packaging destroyed like this. The Styrofoam packaging remnants have settled on the bottom of the box and there is no top or side supports and the bottom is beat because of the Hulk shifting during shipping. Wait there is a box inside a box, the inside box (where the Hulk lies) is quite thick except the top has been hacked off and placed inside a much thinner box which falls apart easily. I pull the packing list from the outer thinner box and read Northern Colorado Compressor Repair, wait! what??? Repair? I don’t remember seeing that when I ordered it … what did I get? For better or worse I lift it out of the top hacked inner box, the outer box just fell apart, leaving the inner box easier to access, At this point I’m not being very optimistic, I’m on damage alert and proceed to carefully evaluate the condition of the Hulk. I start pulling pieces of hulk which are lying in chaos out of the box, Sure enough the plastic head covers were damaged, one was in 8 pieces and the other has cracks around it, probably doesn’t affect functionality but does prevent you from burning your hands if accidently touching the heads when in use. Next a wheel has damage around the axle hole, it can still be used as the axle still fits through it, also really doesn’t affect functionality. I inspect the tank and looks like it rubbed through the Hulk sticker and paint and scored the tank, this I don’t know can it still be used. Now about the unit itself, It maintained pressure a least overnight no degradation in pressure, so that is nice. It fills the tank to pressure (120lbs) in about 5-6 minutes a lot better than my old Devilbliss and it’s a lot quieter when it does. My complaint is the wheels, they are wobbly like on an old toy wagon, you would think they could have had a better design. ... show more
