The whole reason I got this bed frame was because it’s supposed to support 600 lbs. my wife and I combined is about 350. As soon as I laid on it. Turned over a couple times. The supports for the spine gave out. I looked and it had 2 staples and 2 1” screws holding them on the head and foot board parts. Now. I took the time to fix this. Spent $400 On it, I needed it so yeah, 10” 4x4s spine supports evenly spaced to distribute stress properly. I took one of the slats and cut it in half, reused the 3/4 ply piece that came off and stacked them together. Screwed it onto the new piece then screwed in 4 screws back and front to make sure it was anchored in properly. Yes through the facing of the frame. 3” deck screws. Shimmed some of the slats because they were about 1/8” to short. 100% not worth $400. I repaired this for $3 for the box of screws. ... show more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! This product is the worst investment I've ever made with in a week the slats started breaking. And I'm only 170 lbs. I had to buy wood and cut it to replace the slats. The other day I sat down and the whole bed collapsed. Idk. About you but if I spent this kind of money I expect to get more the a week before I start replacing parts. And get more then a year before I can't even use it any more. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. ... show more

I did a lot of research on bed frames. I needed one for a king size bed. Most of what I saw were either cheaper or so expensive they were impractical and way overpriced for what you got. The reviews for the cheaper frames seemed like the frames for a king size mattress wouldn't hold up, especially in terms of the bracing and support for the middle of the frame. My first impression for the e/LUXURY was that it was expensive compared to the others I looked at. But the more I thought about it I thought I would probably have to replace a cheaper frame pretty soon after buying it. The e/LUXURY frame was solid wood, and was designed to support a king size bed and provided center support without the need for a metal center support leg the reviews said often buckled after a short time. The frame was put together in about 5 minutes without the need for any tools. Put the new mattress on it and was ready to go. I highly recommend this product. Nice but it just slides in place - no bolts. So it squeaks during sex. Also the supporting planks are not very durable. I (190 lbs guy) crawled on it with the weight of my body on my right knee, and one of the planks cracked in two. Also - if you have a mattress on it and try to move it around on the floor - it falls apart. Its okay but not worth $400 on any day of the week. ... show more

I was looking for a wood frame that is virtually free of metal and was happy to have found one at a good price. It's really well made and nice in quality. I ordered the Almond stain, which looks slightly darker and more orange than shown in the picture. The bed arrives in pieces and no tools are needed to put everything together. You just fit all the pieces together in their slats, which is great, but I do wish there was a way to secure the corners of the frame permanently so that if you are trying to move the bed, it doesn't all fall apart. So it makes it a little difficult trying to get your bed centered in the room. Also, every now and then, the bottom slats pop out of the frame. It's a simple fix of just pushing it back in, but it's just another observation. Overall, I'm still very happy with the product. ... show more

I ordered the “last” white washed version of this bed frame and what I got was the grey one. The box said “white washed” on it, but the bed frame inside was not white washed. The cost for shipping to return it was exorbitant and since I got the “last one” there was nothing to exchange it with. Luckily this is a bed frame I’ll only be using for a year until I save up enough to by the bed I want, so I can live with it. The directions were minimal (think IKEA), but I was able to figure it out fairly quickly. Two of the metal corner pieces used to put the bed together were bent and I had to bend them back with pliers before I could get them to work as described. I’ve only had the bed set up for a few days and so far haven’t had the support beam cracking that others have reported, but it is a bit wobbly without the mattress. If the right color had been sent I would probably be giving this frame more stars. (The first image in this review is a screenshot as the bed was displayed here on Amazon. The last 2 images are of the color I received—even the inside was painted grey but not finished.) ... show more

I purchased queen frame. Item arrived fast- 3 days. Good, solid little frame. Super easy to put together and taller than expected. Works well with memory foam mattress without need for a base. Best sleep I've had in a long time as slats provide good support. I might consider adding a solid 3/4 piece of plywood on top of slats to prevent mattress from "falling" in between slats, but really don't think it necessary. If I had a base for mattress, it would be too high - like your grandma's bed when you were a kid. Pros: Solid wood Easy assembly Fast shipping Cons: Cheap packing materials (box was a hot mess when it arrived) Questional origin.
