I do like this liner. It is the first Elizabeth Arden makeup I bought. My complaint is how does one sharpen. The twisting does not work, and it took me hours to get the lid off of this when it arrived. So far, not a very good experiece.

The description says it’s long-wearing and lasts for 16 hours. The truth is, it smeared off in about 2 hours. It’s very high-priced and very low quality. Worse yet, I have not been able to return it or get a refund. It makes me leary to buy make up on Amazon.

I use eyeliner everyday. I have searched for the perfect ONE, that is effortless to put on and lasts all day. I honestly don't think there is one product that is perfect for a winged upper liner and other things like smudging under your eye or your waterline. So now I am happy if I have two perfect liners, one liquid for upper, and a pencil for smoky, smudgy things. I have tried gels, but they don't really seem precise enough for a sharp wing and they just don't last for me. Being a makeup over-buyer, I of course still have a few, but reserve them for something where I don't need it to last all day. This is excellent as a pencil type of liner. It goes on very smoothly and lasts a long time. I am not sure I have ever had anything that can sit in my waterline for more than 4-5 hours without budging, but this does last. My line isn't as perfect at the end of my workday (which is about 8-9 hours) but at least it is still there. It doesn't turn into raccoon/panda eyes either. What I put in my waterline sort of ends up in between my lower lashes/lash line after all that time. Which is a nice look and sort of impossible to do on purpose. The smudgy line I put under my lower lashes isn't as dark or wide at the end of the day, but there is some left. Don't expect a pencil to give you a sharp, cat like wing. It just isn't the right product for that. For upper sharp lines, I love Kat Von D Tattoo liner for that. And sometimes the Stila All Day. I don't think either of those products are sold here on amazon (other than by third party sellers, but who wants to pay their markup!?) so I didn't link them. Wet and Wild H20 is another long lasting choice and about half the price of those other two (also only offered through third party sellers here.) It does last all day, but it is a little sticky and can imprint on your upper eyelid, even if you set it with shadow. Still, for a day at the waterpark, that is my favorite because it IS water proof. For my lower lash area and waterline, I must say that this is my go to product.Liquid is too sharp a line for that area for my typical application preference. I like it a little smoky under there. I have had this about a month and and love love love it.! I also like Urban Decay 24/7 and a few drugstore brands, but while most are smooth to put on, they just don't last. I have even tried putting shadow primer under my lower lashes to get pencils to stay for more than 3 hours, but that doesn't work in that area. At least not for me. This one is one of the best I have tried. I am sort of wanting some more colors in this to see how they compare to the black (which I am using now.) I don't like the smudgy tip on the other end, it just doesn't work well for me, but the product itself is great and well worth the price. I often don't even use a whole product before just abandoning it for the next thing that I hope I will like better, but this one has earned a spot in my little use-everyday cup I have in my makeup drawer. Only about 7-10 products are in there. Super great item!

This eyeliner is very good, with pretty good staying power. In fact, I feel it's a bit tricky to remove all traces using good makeup wipes! It's really easy to apply it smoothly with the applicator end, and a very nice width for an everyday look. The only negative I might say is that the smudger end (no product comes out of this end, at least with mine) doesn't seem to do much of anything. Perhaps it's because the eyeliner isn't water-based, so it's not very smudge-able. To get it to smudge at all, with how "permanent" it is, this end would have to be used very harshly and with too much pressure for sensitive eye areas.I can't get it to do much of anything even trying on my hand, where I don't mind using a lot of pressure. Oddly enough, I think the product would be even better if this had been omitted, since it doesn't really add anything to it. As long as you ignore that end, though, it's a great eyeliner!

I've been using Elizabeth Arden for 30 years and never had a problem with the pencil eyeliners. I bought this high drama pencil through Amazon. I went to sharpen it today and it destroyed the pencil. I cannot use it now. I've owned the high drama liners before and used the same sharpener with no problems. There has to be a problem with this liner. I just wasted my money as the return window has closed through Amazon. Do not buy !!!

This is a nice eyeliner that goes on super smooth and looks very nice! No tugging on the eyelid is necessary. I will be looking for more colors in this line!
