SOOOOO many socks feel fine without shoes, but once you lace up, they bunch up and are annoying - these are quite comfortable and I really love them for hiking.

These sox are very rugged and great colors, but be aware if you have high arches, might want to order bigger size. I wear 9.5M in Womens, have very narrow heels and wide toe arch with very high center arch (think duck feet and you get the picture). These fit very snug so can't wear for long period of time without feeling "strangled"...but will use for short hikes or around the house and hope they stretch a little. ... show more

Wore these during an easy Sonoran Desert hike in Arizona in August. Perfect. Kept my feet cool and dry (it was during monsoon season so the train (was a little muddy/wet in places). Wore these with a pair of Forsake Tract shoes.

I just received so cannot comment on durability....but...I ordered because of Darn Tough reputation and the style. I purchased a few pairs of different Darn Tough socks for Christmas gifts...great feel! I wear size 7 shoe (B width with narrow heel)...and these are supposed to fit sizes 4-7. They do feel almost snug. We'll see how they wear... maybe next time I'll order a M. Regardless....I am pleased! ... show more
