My cockatiel retains her ability to fly, and we love letting her zip around the house. She’s got an attitude however, especially about going back into her cage when we need her to. This net did the trick. It is nice and wide, so I was able to catch her in it without harm, and now I don’t need to actually catch her with it anymore.     • Great net, could be sturdier for serious use

We are Monarch Butterfly taggers and tag about 100 butterflies each Autumn. We have owned three of these nets. They are a nice size and the telescoping handle makes it nice to store when not in use and keep in our tagging bin for the car. They have a nice long tail and wide opening so you don't hurt your catch which is good but for a serious catcher they start to wear out after a season or two. The screw piece that holds the telescoping handle wears out, and on two the handles, which are glued on come off. This would be a good not for someone just getting into tagging or a child looking to catch and release. ... show more

We've had several hummingbirds get in our garage and couldn't get out. So we're using it to catch them and release outside. So far, we've used it once and it worked well.
