Was surprised at the quality. Gauges are precision and nothing about it feels cheap. Just be sure to check the defaults. Mine came with centigrade set for temp measurements. Easy to change, and the unit remembers your settings even after power-down. Highly recommend.

This unit seems very well built for the price and did function for my task of installing a new heat pump. However, there are a couple things that I don’t like 1) the vacuum is displayed as negative PSI as opposed to microns. I wish this could be changed. 2) it would go to sleep while I was pulling a vacuum and working and I would have to wake I up by turning it back on. I wish it would not shut itself off so quickly. But as I said it does the job and the build quality and case are great for this price. ... show more

Does everything my Field piece does. Real time subcool. Pre loaded refrigerants. The only down side is you still need your micron gauge to pull vacuum. No biggie. At this price, it is Field worthy. This is not feature rich top of the line. What it is, is a solid built manifold at a budget price, that “Almost” equals the big boys. ... show more

3 and half stars is what I would give. I would say this is a good purchase so far has these weird hairline cracks on the edges from the pressure. Weird but so far no real issues but still concerning… easy to navigate and use the sub cool seems to be pretty spot on

I'm not a pro, so this is a review from the point of view of a technically inclined consumer, not an HVAC tech. For what I do, which is maintain and repair the family vehicles and basic troubleshooting of my home AC, this is more than I need, and yet I wouldn't go back to those crappy analog gauges you generally see. I love that it's digital, it's accurate, besides showing the line pressures, it includes tempurature sensor clamps, which are probably more useful for residential systems, but work just fine on an automotive system if you know where to attach them. This allows the device to calculate superheat and subcooling values, a feature pros would utilize. You can select the type of refrigerant in the system, allowing you to use it on R134a one minute, then switch to R4 (or a long list of others I never knew existed) to plug into a completely different system and know that it will still be accurate. It's liquid resistant, and the ports and valve/knob hardware is quality, it makes solid connections, i've had no hint of leaks. The only potential complaint I can see is just that it didn't come with a hose set in the box, so you need to pick those up separately, and figure out which type of end connectors you need for the type of systems you'd use this with (or adapters to switch them). This device has helped me diagnose multiple cars, accurately top off the refrigerant while watching the high and low side pressures and line temps adjust. I was also able to do the same to my aging home system's R4 as it had been a little low. ... show more
