A scale that works well and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Can be used for A/C work as well as many other things that require detailed weight measurements. Take note that there are two options of this scale that each have different minimum and maximum weights as well as slightly different accuracy tolerances. Such a great scale! Built tuff and is affordable for the quality made. Luckily I found this scale, it doesn't show up in most seraches for scales. I use it in my commercial cold brew coffee business. Much easier to weigh a preceise amount of water than to measure it. Also use to weigh bulk green coffee beans. This scale works pretty well and measures accurately. It is very sensitive and sometimes a flat level surface is hard to come by, making it hard to get a good reading, but overall does the job.

This scale replaces a 30 something year old scale that has lost its repeatability and probably accuracy. After looking at many offerings on Amazon, I picked the Elitech with the lower maximum capacity to take advantage of the increased resolution and accuracy. I prefer the 9-volt battery used in this scale as I keep a supply on hand for other instruments in my shop. This scale is beefy and appears to be well made, better that the old one it replaces. Tests with various weights show incredible repeat measurements and accuracy using known weights. The remote has a long coiled cord to keep the readout at the gauge set for ease of use. The scale when zeroed to a recovery tank will measure the recovered refrigerant, and when zeroed to the recharge tank, will accurately indicate the recharge weight in pounds and ounces. Only a little math on the phone calculator app was required as the test vehicle, a BMW, uses a fraction for the ounce measure and the scale uses a decimal for the ounce measure. Leave it to BMW to muck things up. I did not try the other scale option of Kg. This scale rates a solid 5 stars in all categories and I expect many years of service. ... show more
