  • A better device than many of us need, but little excuse not to at this pricepoint
Color: 2-Valve Size: Basic: LCD Display
I'm not a pro, so this is a review from the point of view of a technically inclined consumer, not an HVAC tech. For what I do, which is maintain and repair the family vehicles and basic troubleshooting of my home AC, this is more than I need, and yet I wouldn't go back to those crappy analog gauges you generally see. I love that it's digital, it's accurate, besides showing the line pressures, it includes tempurature sensor clamps, which are probably more useful for residential systems, but work just fine on an automotive system if you know where to attach them. This allows the device to calculate superheat and subcooling values, a feature pros would utilize. You can select the type of refrigerant in the system, allowing you to use it on R134a one minute, then switch to R4 (or a long list of others I never knew existed) to plug into a completely different system and know that it will still be accurate. It's liquid resistant, and the ports and valve/knob hardware is quality, it makes solid connections, i've had no hint of leaks. The only potential complaint I can see is just that it didn't come with a hose set in the box, so you need to pick those up separately, and figure out which type of end connectors you need for the type of systems you'd use this with (or adapters to switch them). This device has helped me diagnose multiple cars, accurately top off the refrigerant while watching the high and low side pressures and line temps adjust. I was also able to do the same to my aging home system's R4 as it had been a little low. ... show more

  • Don't spend up on testo or fieldpiece. Keep savings n buy elitech!(so far so good)
Color: 2-Valve Size: Wireless: LCD+APP
This thing for the money and in general it's awesome. It comes with carrying case, hoses, minisplit fittings, and a manual. Easy to register and set up. Size was perfect. Weighty without being heavy. Solid. Hoses weren't the best but after couple seconds of playing with it no problem. No leakage. Arnt best and will replace but usable. Very accurate within 2 percent of our fieldpiece we have at school. Format as well as look and feel of the unit and the app are impressive. Sent my instructor photos and Live footage of my work on a condenser. For half the cost as a field piece or testo I feel I'm cheating the system. Only gripe is I wish I could change the setting for pulling a vacuum from percentage to microns. Pending on accuracy and how percentage works for me might be using a micron gauge. Highly recommended. Let's make testo and fieldpiece bit cheaper with these! Also the app is amazing. UPDATE: screen was found cracked near bottom of screen like others. Coming up on 800 plus the refund decided to go get the testo 558s. Still highly recommend if budget is a issue. Customer service sucks but cracks n all works! ... show more

  • while not top tier (sometimes in name only) it functions well.
Color: 2-Valve Size: Basic: LCD Display
saves a lot of work and needed extra equipment and seems to be accurate. paired up with no leak fittings, beats using mechanical manifold.

  • Very decent tool for the money.
Color: 2-Valve Size: Wireless: LCD+APP
I bought the LMG-10W to diagnose my 4 ton heat pump that's been tripping out with a high pressure alarm. The tool is well made and the plastic housing is thick and robust. Mine came with a carry case for the hose set, clip-on temperature probes and the manifold gauge. The hoses seem reasonable, not Yellow Jacket or Fieldpiece but it's not in that price point. The hoses aren't low loss but wery little refrigerant escaped while connecting to the liquid line while the system was running and none leaked while connecting to the vapor line. The data logging is a nice feature in the app but if the connection to the gauge is lost the app discards the data instead of saving it. I used the vacuum test and it correctly detected a slow leak. All in all it's a great tool. ... show more

  • Awesome set of gages
Color: 2-Valve Size: Basic: LCD Display
Very solid and reliable. Readings are spot on and the interface is incredibly easy to use. Best gages for your money hands down. Calculates subcooling and superheat for you. Very durable as well. Have had this manifold for a year now and I couldn't be happier

  • DO NOT BUY- China Junk ! Get Yellow Jacket Gauges.
Color: 2-Valve Size: Basic: LCD Display
I bought these Elitech Gauges this morning on Amazon, they were delivered this afternoon about 5 pm. I put charge hoses on them and decided to test them on my personal AC Units. The High Pressure - Gauge reads about 125 pounds (psig) TOO LOW ! The 1st photo is of the Elitech Gauges connected to my 2.5 ton R410a condenser - with the unit running the Elitech Gauges read 108.5 psig ( low side) and 303.5 on the high pressure side. The 2nd image shows my 4 way mehanical Yellow Jacket Gauges with the "real pressures". As you can see the low ( blue ) gauge is at 116 (8 psig higher than the Junk Elitech sells . The reliable - accurate -Yellow Jacket high side (Red Gauge ) is reading about 425 psig. The proof of the gauges giving a false reading is when the compressor cut out due to excessive head pressure due to being over charged by these defrective inferior made in china Elitech Gauges. I have been a Licensed HVAC Contractor in Arizona, Texas and Florida. I am NATE Certified, Factory Authorized Carrier, Trane and American Standard Dealer with countless hours of training and continued education. I will be happy to testify in court to the fact that these gauges arent worth a dime. ... show more

  • Decently accurate, but screen lens broke while in the case.
Color: 2-Valve Size: Basic: LCD Display
They seem to work well. Accuracy between these and analog Mastercool gauges and temp sensors seems decent. However the display lens cracked while they were sitting in their case. They were fine when put away and no impact marks. This makes me worried about longevity. Obviously this is a lower price point, but they may not last a year if that broke when not being used. ... show more

  • Works great but be aware that youtube videos are better than the manual.
Color: 2-Valve Size: Basic: LCD Display
Item solid and worked perfectly. The only con is that the instruction manual which is limited. You could probably figure things out without any assistance (you certainly could if you are familiar with digital manifolds in general) - however there are plenty of easily discoverable youtube videos showing what all the buttons do - so no real problem. ... show more
