This popper works great. It's very easy to use, with one exception. It's so lightweight that to press the on/off button, you need to hold the popper in place with your other hand. Careful, it's hot! We really like our smaller popcorn maker. It works great and popcorn is perfect. The only negative is the oil popping out the top. While popping the kernels. It can be a little a little messy and hurt if it pops on you.

We have 2 homes so I just bought another one so I could have one at each place. It pops the corn perfectly but you absolutely must watch it because it doesn't automatically turn off so can burn the corn easily.

I am so happy I purchased this! I've always loved popcorn as a snack, but I've only ever made microwave popcorn. The single-serving bags were always too small, but the regular-sized bags were too big for just a snack. This popcorn maker has been great because I get to control both how much oil and/or butter I add and how much popcorn I make. Personally, I like it a lot better than air poppers that I've used in the past because I always find air-popped popcorn (while slightly healthier because there's no oil) is so bland it's like eating cardboard. This popper is super easy to use: just add oil and popcorn, turn it on and place the lid. Because there's a wand at the bottom that's constantly moving, the popcorn doesn't burn. When the popcorn stops popping, just turn the machine off. Popcorn does occasionally get stuck under the wand, and these pieces will burn, but it's usually only one or two pieces of popcorn, and because they're truly stuck, they don't get transferred into the bowl of popcorn that you eat. My only complaint is that the hot plate area is a bit of a pain to clean because it can't get wet. Small popcorn pieces and salt can get stuck in the grooves. Ideally, this part would be removeable. Instead, I just use a damp paper towel to wipe it down after use and it works well enough. For the price, I'm more than happy with this purchase!

This device makes good popcorn, however it is very small, just enough for one person. The lid is very flimsy and thin, you would not want to use it as a bowl for fear of breaking it. You can't immerse the base so cleaning it means a time consuming hand washing with a sponge. The wire sits high and food gets stuck underneath it, meaning you will have to disassemble it each time to clean. It has worked flawlessly without breaking down for 4 months of once a week or more use. Yes, the cap for the butter bowl is already lost.
