It's just so great for the price. Very simple. It's obviously very cheapy made but I don't count that as a fault because it's SO inexpensive. I think, what more can you really expect for such a low price? It works great. The coffee taste is OKAY, i think the water gets slightly too hot, it's not going to be as tasty as more fancy methods of making coffee, but if you just want something cheap and easy, and you don't really care about being a coffee snob, then this thing is perfect.     • A Nice Product at a Good Price - But Keep Looking

So, there are two Keurigs in the office – one on each floor. Neither one works. I’d found a workaround for the one on 5 – rather than pressing the 12-ounce button, which did absolutely nothing, I’d press the 8-ounce (twice). Don’t know why it worked but it did. Until it didn’t. Because I don’t like not knowing things (like, how to fix a Keurig, not – you know – calculus), I investigated a fix. It’s not an uncommon problem, according to Reddit. The fix, while complicated, seems to be effective. However, it’s not something that I’m going to attempt on a machine that is collectively owned. So, I took a popular off-ramp. I bought my own desk coffee maker. No, it’s not good for team-building and synergy but, trust me, you don’t want to spend time with me, even if I’ve had coffee. It’s small enough that I can stash it in a desk drawer if Building Services comes snooping. It includes the travel cup, so you don’t have to stress over which size to use. The coffee maker itself works fine – I don’t like the cup. For hot coffee, it’s not a long-term storage solution. It doesn’t cool as quickly as a mug without a lid but it doesn’t hold heat, either. And unlike ceramic mugs, you can’t reheat it in the microwave. The lid has an unusual design. To-go cups, from Sheetz or Buc-ees or Wawa, have a plastic peg opposite the opening, which holds the tab closed. This doesn’t. Though, it looks like it should. Each time I take a sip, my nose gets wet because the tab hits my nose. The lid is also a bit challenging to close/seal correctly. Not once have I screwed it on correctly the first time. It’s a really good one-cup coffee maker for the price and the convenience. But because of my issues with the cup, you can do better. ... show more

Best little coffee pot! I drive a truck and let's face it no one at truck stops make good coffee anymore. I absolutely love this little pot. Easy to use, it functions very fast! Coffee in under a minute, very fast drip rate. Portable, I take it out of my cupboard, put water in it, coffee grinds plug it in hit the button and less then a min later hot coffe! There are several good reasons why this tiny coffee maker is a gem and keeper if you like simple brewed coffee for single serve. I bought one in 2021 (still in use and works great) but when I tried to buy it for my brother in the past 2 years or so, it didn't exist anymore. What?! I bought another similar one that was 30% more expensive and it already quit working in less than a year. I am so glad this is back in stock. I bought another one and after one month of use, it's the same great coffee maker like the one I have four years ago. Allow me to highlight its quality and features: 1. Elite Gourmet is a good brand. This coffee maker is no exception,. It's a work horse, and it's so inexpensive. 2. Small footprint, right size ~14 oz for a single serve. The cup place holder fits most mugs and smaller tumblers. Just one on/off button, simple to operate. 3. Here is the most important, nice and safety feature - when reservoir is out of water, it shuts off and stays off. Unlike other brands, even after it auto shuts off, you still need to switch off the button manually otherwise if you plug it in again it will immediately light up to try to brew. Not this one, you do not need to touch that on/off button again until the next brew. 4. The included thermal travel mug is of great quality with good cap and seal. Stainless steel inside. 5. The included reusable filter is a nice addition. Although it does not filter out tiny grounds but I found that 4-cup paper filter fits nicely in the coffee ground holder. That's it! The good things: Its cheap and it comes with a decent cup. The not so great: The cup: Its cheap so the materials are not high quality. Yes the body of the cup is steel but the top of the cup is plastic. The coffee maker itself: First it made bitter coffee, so if you want high quality it's probably not the best. Next it gets really hot! No way to control the temperature, and because it's made out of cheap thin plastic the top of it gets really hot.
