I've always want a single slice toaster to inconvenient my guest during breakfast. Nothing more inconvenient then having to waite in line for a single piece of toast. With that being said this toaster is nice , compact and gets the job done. I don't eat 2 slices so this was perfect for me. My guest are irrelevant. Also heads up after the first toast is complete the toaster is really warm and will toast a lot faster so beware you may get a burnt toast if you are not careful.

I'm so grateful to Elite Gourmet for making a compact, single slice toaster. Most toasters are so big, and those of use with tiny kitchens are left to find other ways to make toast (broiler, coat hanger over a burner, even frying the bread) or--gasp--forgo toast altogether. At last I can once again have toast at he push of a button. This toaster has a small footprint and should fit even in a very tiny kitchen. It's sleek looking too. I like that the slider is recessed, rather than sticking out. It isn't the sturdiest toaster ever. The crumb tray is quite thin and the toaster itself is very lightweight. But it does make pretty good toast. The temperature control is easy to use. The slot is wide enough for bagels or extra thick bread. It isn't long enough for extra wide pan bread, but you could always cut the bread I'm just happy to be able to make toast, Now excuse me while I go buy some bagels and thick artisan bread.

I highly recommend this toaster, it will hold the longest slices, (which is why I bought it, homestyle slices) side by side or it will do four regular slices or four regular size slices that are thick bread, and it has a lot of adjustability the quality is very nice, very well made, it has a digital readout and there's an instruction guide for how much time and how dark to make the toast, worked perfectly the very first time. You can adjust the temperature on the fly once you set the bread in the toaster and you can cancel the toast at any time with the push of a button. Takes up a lot of counter space though just be aware.

Well it’s March 21, not even 3 months later. This toaster has not kept a normal temperature. Sometimes it makes toast as it should but it could also burn one side (always the side closest to the temperature knob) We have been having to turn it down more and more just to keep it from burning. I withdrawn my last statement on the original post below. Instead I will say it works like a dollar store toaster and I do not recommend buying it. My husband did not like buying me this for Christmas. I almost had to beg. I’m an adult now and I want kitchen appliances. This toaster is very nice, it has 2 wide slots going the length of it. I have toasted wider bread and waffles at the same time. Meaning I can sit down and eat with him and both our food be hot. It says 1-2 are light and 3-4 medium 5-6 dark I tried 3 for my bread and it was way too dark. Level 2 works perfect for us. This is a time saver and you can cook more things than a normal toaster can. I would have to cut off the crust of my bread on 1 side just to get it to fit in my old normal $10 toaster. Bagel, English muffins and waffles have all fit without being smashed I love it definitely recommend

I usually eat just one piece of toast at a time, so a single slice toaster was one way I made more counter space in my small kitchen. It works just fine, even on a half slice of bagel. Excellent product.

Oh boy. Some serious deception going on with this product. Caveat emptor. #1 criticism: Neither pictures nor video alerts you to the dumbest design flaws (a) Power cord is seated in the front and crumb tray is in the back. Should be the other way around. (b) Power cord is VERY short (31 inches, versus 40-inch cord on my old toaster). If you are putting this toaster on a normal kitchen counter & not an island, you will put the back of the toaster against the wall. But you still have to make that 31" cord reach an outlet. Being seated in the front, the cord is always in the way. And whenever you empty the crumb tray, you have to turn the toaster around to do it. Admittedly, I didn't think to scrutinize the photos and video of this toaster before I purchased it to make sure the crumb tray & cord seat were where they should be, or that the cord length was normal. (Because what nimrod would design a toaster with the power cord in the front and the crumb tray in the back right?) Looking over the photos & video just now, I see that they don't show you these design flaws. NONE of the images indicates where the cord comes out of. None of the images actually even shows you the cord deployed, not even when the toaster is being used. The video looks like the guy has a cordless toaster, lol. The video also tricks you into thinking the crumb tray slides out from the front. The shot at 0:31 shows the controls on the right-hand side of the screen (front of toaster). The very next shot, 0:32, shows a close-up of the guy pulling out the crumb tray .... on the right. *This is a reverse-angle shot from the previous shot. But you would never know this because the close-up eliminates all other contextual info that would have indicated the camera is now on the opposite side of the toaster from the previous shot.* Bravo to whoever made this video. You really pulled some slick M. Night Shyamalan misdirection and trickery. Unfortunately, however, duping customers about products is probably not the arena for your cinematic skills. My other criticisms: -- Toaster heating control goes up to 6 but toast burns black at 5. Not sure who likes their toast at maximum incineration level, so I can't figure out why 6 is even a choice. -- Toast comes flying up out of the toaster like a bouncing betty (minus the explosion) when you hit the cancel button. Again, the video does not give you an accurate indication of how this product operates in real life. The video shows you a nice genteel glide-stop. No bounce. And no toast on the floor, which is what I got until I started putting my hand over the slots to prevent Toast Awayyyyy! What I do like about this toaster is the main thing I bought it for -- slots long enough to accommodate longer bread slices. It feels like toaster designs are getting so cheap, skimping on slot length where even a slice of Pepperidge Farm bread has to be crammed in. I miss my old (and I do mean old) Proctor Silex, which was not expensive but was not cheap in a skimpy design way. So where basic functionality is concerned, toasting oblong bread slices without mangling them, this toaster does the job. And it has a clean, unfussy appearance. They really do need to reverse the crumb tray and power cord seat, though. That was an unforced error, and it goes beyond aesthetics.
