  • my favorite filament yet! my favorite filament yet!
Color: Black & White
This filament has been such a great experience after getting retraction worked out! prints very smoothly and is able to be printed at high speeds! i currently have been printing with it at 1mm retraction (direct drive extruder) 300 mm/s 260 degrees C and have had fantastic results! supports break away easy but the parts themselves do not break! i printed a sheet roughly 3" x 4" just to see how far i could bend it without it breaking and i was actually able to fold it in half without it snapping in half! i then tried to continuously bend it back and forth to see if i could get it to tear or beak and it still wouldn't! i am extremely happy and impressed with this PETG as i have mainly only printed in PLA, but it is safe to say im probably never going back to PLA and this is going to be my go to company to get my materials from! With how bad of a name PETG has for stringing, the stringing that i have is extremely minimal, thinner than a strand of hair strings here or there but not all over the place or at every move like ive seen soooo many videos have happen with various brands of course. those little strings are easily fixed with a quick wave over the stove at low heat and then you are left with perfectly printed parts that feel even more smooth with a slightly more glossy finish! i HIGHLY recommend ELEGOO's RAPID PETG filament! after my first spool used i have been hooked and have ordered more spools in various colors and cant wait to try them! Again I am extremely satisfied and very happy with the affordability of the filament, the speed you are able to print, the strength of the prints, the finish of the prints, and the stringing is a very negligible amount as to not be concerned with! ELEGOO has earned my business! my ONLY complaint is there is a limited amount of colors currently available and i really hope to see more variety with colors which i hope include color shifting, glow in the dark, and glittery styles! Thank you ELEGOO again for making this filament so easy and quick to work with! the bigger tube object is a fully 3D printed lamp i am currently working on, printing the led tube / lamp shade piece in white! and will be adding that to the photos after it is complete! Again THANK YOU ELEGOO for making such a great filament that is able to handle higher speeds and is VERY durable! ... show more

  • Works great in my P1S using the default Bambu PETG HF profile
Color: 4*1kg Black
This has saved me many hours due to the print speed. It adheres to the plate well during printing but releases easily and cleanly when it's done. There is occasional stringing, but so far only because I haven't dried it fully before using. I see the cardboard spool as a plus, even though it can get damaged/bent/warped on occasion. I use a universal spool adapter that attaches to the core instead of snapping on to the outside, so that's rarely an issue. I'd much rather toss the cardboard into the recycle bin than have to deal with the "refillable" spools that have caused me nothing but grief. This is a great filament, and I've been gradually replacing all of my PETG with this when I run out. ... show more

  • Surprisingly affordable filament that lives up to its name for once
Color: 2*1kg Black
Idk what's in this stuff to make it able to perform as well as it does when printing, but it's magic. For most cases, printing PETG at speeds much faster than about 60mm/sec can be a mixed bag in terms of quality and reliability. Somehow this breaks that. I own a Creality K1 and I've been using this for a little over a week. Tldr: it's quickly taking over PLA as my favorite material to print with. Printing will be tad slower than with PLA in my experience, but that's not really saying much. It's no secret that max printing speeds are mostly marketing and have very specific conditions under which they are achievaby. That being said, I still routinely get very consistently good print quality at 250mm/s wall speed with .45 width and .2 layer height(part of my personal standard profile). Flow seems to hold fairly steady at those high speeds as well. In my own limited testing, this material was able to comfortably perform at about 2/3 the flow rate vs that of PLA, comfortably reaching ~ 22mm/s³ @ 260c with the K1's stock extruder and copper/hardened steel Nozel. As you may gather, an all metal Hotend is recommended to get the most out of the material. Higher flow rates did appear possible per testing, however I found the above rate to be very safe for my purposes. Mechanical properties are not as easy for me to describe here, but the best I can say is it still retained the "feel" of other PETG. Most importantly, it retained it's "bend, don't snap" properties that you look for from PETG, preserving it's safety for functional parts over PLA. As far as a summary for how to plug this into your slicer, pretty much just set temps to as high as you would for normal PETG and print it with about 2/3 the speed/volumetric flow rate as PLA. This filament likes more cooling than normal PETG, but still less than PLA. A max of 90% fan speed for tricky portions with the fan always on at least 20% while printing normally will serve you well. Retraction may need to be turned up a tad vs PLA, about .8-1 mm, but even with the same settings as PLA, only the tiniest of plastic whispies were visible. Pressure Advance is an interesting one. This material has similar PA values as that of PLA, .06-.04. However, you should absolutely calibrate this one yourself, as I've seen wildly differing reports for this. An enclosure is recommended, but I have seen no significant warping risk, even on large parts as compared to normal PETG and PLA. I'm genuinely impressed by this material, and with it being the same price or cheaper than a lot of other PETG, I'll Absolutely be buying again. I would appreciate more colors to be available for this material, but that's a small gripe compared to how stellar everything else is about it. If you're on the fence about adding this to your cart vs other PETG, let my review be what persuades you. Great value, great performance. No complaints except for variety. Definitely worth a try. ... show more

  • It's okay, but took a while to get dialed in.
Color: Black, White, Gray, Transparent
I am not disappointed by this, but I would instead pay the extra and get the Polymaker PETG in the future. However, if you are price sensitive, this can be dialed in to get some good results. The usual things: Spooling quality: Good. Consistent. Cardboard rolls: Wonky. Some deformation on them. Moisture out of the box: Consider it wet and will need extensive drying. Both owing to the cardboard and the fact that the homeopathic amount of silca pellets do nothing. Ease of use: No issues in AMS. No print profiles in Orca. Had to manually dial this in. I tried several defaults and was not happy with the results I got, especially with the .6mm nozzles. In the end, I spent the most effort and time getting the clear to work the best. I found that the clear works very well, has a maximum flow rate far in excess of what my printer can do. On flow rate tests, I was able to fully max out the printer's volumetric speed (~25mm3/s) which is far lower than what the product states it can do. You should spend the time calibrating the colors differently than the clear as the clear is essentially pure PETG vs the colored filaments having other additives in them that will affect print quality and speed. This will take a few hours but if you plan on using this routinely owing to the price, will pay dividends. I found that higher print temps (260-275C) and lower bed temps (about 10C lower than other PETG) achieved good bed adhesion. I used very little cooling on my prints, zero part cooling for clear. The bed adhesion was excessive IMO to the point I was worried about damaging the print bed using the standard 70C bed temps common to other TPU. 50C on the cool type plates, 60 or 65 on PEI, and 65 or 70 on the smooth PEI with glue. You will never get good advice on print settings in Amazon comments and this is no exception. But here's some settings you can use for a .6mm nozzle and then fine tune: Flow .98 Pressure advance .04 Enable pressure advance Retraction .4mm - .5mm Either disable z hop or use spiral z hop. Disable wipe whilst retracting 265C print temp Avoid crossing walls If you want the best clarity using clear, this is a whole other story and takes a good bit of patience and work: 275C print temp 125% nozzle diameter for line width. 1.01 flow ratio. Zero retraction. 10mm/s line speed (way slower) All line speeds equal (e.g. outer walls same) Either no infill or solid infill. Reduce accelerations significantly. Zero part cooling unless absolutely necessary. In other words, kind of like how you'd print TPU. ... show more

  • Looks great, but not wound well
Color: 1kg Transparent
Update: Elegoo reached out to apologize for the poorly spooled filament and sent a new spool. Once I dry it, I will put it on the printer and see how well it turns out! So far it looks excellent! It's actually quite nice once you respool it. The transparency is pretty decent, at least what I would expect from filament. It didn't clog, but didn't do really well on overhangs, it kind or blobbed up in spots. Color is good, it's transparent, so there's that. It's 1kg, like it's supposed to be. The spool fit my AMS, but didn't matter because I respooled it. The only reason I gave it a 3 star instead of 4 is because I had to respool it. It kept jamming up in my AMS. At first I thought it was because of the cardboard, but when I went to check it I could see it was tangled up and wrapping around the AMS saver. After I respooled it I didn't have any issues. ... show more

  • Excellent PETG for Outdoor Parts – Clean Prints on Bambu P1S Excellent PETG for Outdoor Parts – Clean Prints on Bambu P1S
Color: Beige & Brown
Used this on a Bambu P1S with generic PETG settings to print outdoor shade clips I designed for Coolaroo shades, and it performed flawlessly. I didn’t have to slow anything down or tweak settings—just loaded it and ran. Layer adhesion is strong, and the parts feel durable enough for outdoor use where they’ll see sun and some stress. The beige and brown colors both came out clean and consistent with no weird shifts or dullness. Surface finish is solid for functional prints for sure. No stringing issues worth mentioning, which is usually where PETG can get annoying. This ran as clean as most PETG I’ve used. Only thing to watch is typical PETG behavior, so make sure your cooling and retraction are dialed if you’re pushing speed. That said, with default Bambu settings, it was basically plug-and-play. Bottom line: if you’re running a Bambu and want a PETG that can keep up with faster prints without constant tuning, this is a strong option. I’ll be buying more for functional/outdoor parts. ... show more

Color: Black, White, Gray, Transparent
I use strictly elegoo filament if i can and I have never had an issue with it. Their PLA pro and PETG both print perfectly with bambu genetic settings.

  • Disappointing Experience with ELEGOO Rapid PETG - Not Worth the Hassle
Color: 4*1kg White
UPDATE: I'm increasing my star rating from 1 to 3. Here's why. ELEGOO did reach out to me here in an attempt to address my experience. Ultimately I was provided a sample of the White Rapid PETG, which resulted in a test printing that was of a quality I would expect from a company such as ELEGOO. I was unable to return the original items as I had already disposed of them since I was well outside of the return window before I ever opened the packages, which I mentioned in my original review. ELEGOO offered to provide me with 1KG of white and 1KG of black Rapid PETG as compensation for the 6KG I originally purchased that proved to be unusable, which I accepted rather than getting nothing for my troubles. Troubles which included a build plate that later proved to be damaged to the point of being unusable as a result of the original defective product and hours of frustration and wasted efforts. Add that to my costs. Ultimately, ELEGOO failed here. They did respond to my review here but my customer service request submitted directly to them on their website went completely ignored. To this day I've never received a single communication resulting from it. I also still lost money on trying ELEGOO, which is unacceptable. Yes, the filament provided after my initial experience worked well. I don't know if I was sent "review quality" filament or if it was from the same inventory anyone ordering would receive. The point is they sold a product that was unusable, damaged my equipment and tried to make up for it by giving me half what I paid for in compensation. I don't want to discourage buying from ELEGOO. They are known to make great products. In fact I just purchased more of this same product based on the good quality I ultimately got from them. I would simply advise buyers to manage expectations, both for the products and the company that only halfway stands behind them. _______________________________________________ I really wanted to be a fan of ELEGOO products, but unfortunately, this Rapid PETG filament has been a major letdown. I purchased 4KG of White and 2KG of Black Rapid PETG in May 2024 based on many good reviews and ELEGOO's generally positive reputation. However, both colors utterly failed to meet expectations. The quality of these filaments is atrocious. They are impossibly brittle, which is shocking for PETG. The prints all shattered when I tried to remove them, breaking along the strong axis, not just delaminating. I tried using these filaments on several prints across three different printers: two with textured PEI and one with a smooth PEI build plate. On every one of them, the prints were extremely difficult to remove and often broke into pieces. The PEI coating was slightly damaged on two of the plates, though not beyond use. The only way I could remove the remaining pieces was by heating the plates to 90 degrees to soften the plastic enough to peel off gradually. This product was a complete waste of money. I have never encountered this kind of issue with other brands of PETG, and now I've wasted close to $100 USD and several hours dealing with these filaments. I know there are many positive reviews for this product on Amazon however I am extremely disappointed with ELEGOO Rapid PETG. It has been a waste of both time and money, and I would not recommend this filament to anyone. In fact, I'll probably toss all 6kg as I wouldn't even give this junk away. ... show more
