  • my favorite filament yet!
Color: Black & White
This filament has been such a great experience after getting retraction worked out! prints very smoothly and is able to be printed at high speeds! i currently have been printing with it at 1mm retraction (direct drive extruder) 300 mm/s 260 degrees C and have had fantastic results! supports break away easy but the parts themselves do not break! i printed a sheet roughly 3" x 4" just to see how far i could bend it without it breaking and i was actually able to fold it in half without it snapping in half! i then tried to continuously bend it back and forth to see if i could get it to tear or beak and it still wouldn't! i am extremely happy and impressed with this PETG as i have mainly only printed in PLA, but it is safe to say im probably never going back to PLA and this is going to be my go to company to get my materials from! With how bad of a name PETG has for stringing, the stringing that i have is extremely minimal, thinner than a strand of hair strings here or there but not all over the place or at every move like ive seen soooo many videos have happen with various brands of course. those little strings are easily fixed with a quick wave over the stove at low heat and then you are left with perfectly printed parts that feel even more smooth with a slightly more glossy finish! i HIGHLY recommend ELEGOO's RAPID PETG filament! after my first spool used i have been hooked and have ordered more spools in various colors and cant wait to try them! Again I am extremely satisfied and very happy with the affordability of the filament, the speed you are able to print, the strength of the prints, the finish of the prints, and the stringing is a very negligible amount as to not be concerned with! ELEGOO has earned my business! my ONLY complaint is there is a limited amount of colors currently available and i really hope to see more variety with colors which i hope include color shifting, glow in the dark, and glittery styles! Thank you ELEGOO again for making this filament so easy and quick to work with! the bigger tube object is a fully 3D printed lamp i am currently working on, printing the led tube / lamp shade piece in white! and will be adding that to the photos after it is complete! Again THANK YOU ELEGOO for making such a great filament that is able to handle higher speeds and is VERY durable! ... show more

  • Surprisingly affordable filament that lives up to its name for once
Color: 2*1kg Black
Idk what's in this stuff to make it able to perform as well as it does when printing, but it's magic. For most cases, printing PETG at speeds much faster than about 60mm/sec can be a mixed bag in terms of quality and reliability. Somehow this breaks that. I own a Creality K1 and I've been using this for a little over a week. Tldr: it's quickly taking over PLA as my favorite material to print with. Printing will be tad slower than with PLA in my experience, but that's not really saying much. It's no secret that max printing speeds are mostly marketing and have very specific conditions under which they are achievaby. That being said, I still routinely get very consistently good print quality at 250mm/s wall speed with .45 width and .2 layer height(part of my personal standard profile). Flow seems to hold fairly steady at those high speeds as well. In my own limited testing, this material was able to comfortably perform at about 2/3 the flow rate vs that of PLA, comfortably reaching ~ 22mm/s³ @ 260c with the K1's stock extruder and copper/hardened steel Nozel. As you may gather, an all metal Hotend is recommended to get the most out of the material. Higher flow rates did appear possible per testing, however I found the above rate to be very safe for my purposes. Mechanical properties are not as easy for me to describe here, but the best I can say is it still retained the "feel" of other PETG. Most importantly, it retained it's "bend, don't snap" properties that you look for from PETG, preserving it's safety for functional parts over PLA. As far as a summary for how to plug this into your slicer, pretty much just set temps to as high as you would for normal PETG and print it with about 2/3 the speed/volumetric flow rate as PLA. This filament likes more cooling than normal PETG, but still less than PLA. A max of 90% fan speed for tricky portions with the fan always on at least 20% while printing normally will serve you well. Retraction may need to be turned up a tad vs PLA, about .8-1 mm, but even with the same settings as PLA, only the tiniest of plastic whispies were visible. Pressure Advance is an interesting one. This material has similar PA values as that of PLA, .06-.04. However, you should absolutely calibrate this one yourself, as I've seen wildly differing reports for this. An enclosure is recommended, but I have seen no significant warping risk, even on large parts as compared to normal PETG and PLA. I'm genuinely impressed by this material, and with it being the same price or cheaper than a lot of other PETG, I'll Absolutely be buying again. I would appreciate more colors to be available for this material, but that's a small gripe compared to how stellar everything else is about it. If you're on the fence about adding this to your cart vs other PETG, let my review be what persuades you. Great value, great performance. No complaints except for variety. Definitely worth a try. ... show more
