Visually, the Elefor impressed me with its sleek, modern design that looks right at home in a professional setting. (I got this for use in a school office). But getting it working is another story. I found the setup to be frustratingly steep. The instructions are printed in tiny text and reference buttons that don't actually exist on the machine. There’s a lack of logical step-by-step guidance. The machine’s error messages are cryptic. I had a lot of trial and error before pulling my first successful shot. I had to figure out the grinder with trial and error. The portafilter also demands surprising force to secure, which I found nerve-wracking given the plastic construction. Speaking of plastic, don't expect the premium feel of pricier machines. Components fit tightly and require careful handling to avoid feeling like something might snap. I had a notable break-in period. On the upside, once I cracked the learning curve, the I find the Elefor does deliver a solid, consistent espresso. Cleanup is genuinely easy; the drip tray pops out, the portafilter rinses effortlessly, and the body wipes down well. The verdict? For a first-time espresso machine owner, there are better-known brands at a similar price point with far friendlier instructions. The Elefor will reward patient, experienced users, but it may frustrate someone if this is their first expresso machine.

Just like others say, initial use is almost a show stopper. It does get easier to insert the portafilter, but still harder than it should be. The grinder is frustrating. There is a thing to go on top of the portafilter to contain the grounds, but it doesn't fit right and is very difficult to use. The biggest problem I have is that it does NOT push all the water through. You are left with wet grounds that can not be dumped with a pound, instead you have to dig them out. No bueno!

I'm not even a coffee drinker, but the wife is as well as being a trained barista. She loves this little machine! I tried to make a shot, being a complete idiot to espresso, much less the machines associated, and I found the instructions needed me to have taken a shot before hand. I was able to make a mess, lots of noise, and some sort of metallic tasting liquid of energy, but steaming and frothing is beyond me! I'll stick to easier things like computers and airplanes. I think what would be nice is a full step-by-step recipe for a drink for complete beginners. We sat together and put a full drink through the machine, and with full credit to my Barista Babe, a much better tasting drink was produced. I will say it looks great, cleans great, and was able to withstand my punishment treatment. If you have an espresso addiction, this will help with that itch when you are stuck at home. And I'm positive that if you are even a minute more experienced with coffee/espresso/machines than I am, you'll find this system easy to use.

This has been a game changer! I love it. The first several uses, the dispenser cup was difficult to lock into place. It was definitely an arm work out. After several uses, it loosened up enough to not be a battle. The built in grinder is amazing! With a simple twist of the holder, you can change through the level of coarseness you want. There are multiple settings for your coffee, hot or cold. And the buttons are touch screen, and easy to use! It is loud, but a lot quieter than others I've used in the past. The reservoir is large and holds enough for many espresso's. Overall, I love this! It looks great, works great, and delivers an amazing cup of espresso!

Update: I originally rated this two stars, now I have to downgrade it to one star and do not buy. That's only because you cannot get something zero stars. Mine arrived non-functional, only displaying an error code.I contacted customer support. Initially I had no answer from customer support, then after a month they finally wrote me back explaining that the error code means that the bean hopper was installed incorrectly. They made no offer to replace the machine or refund my money. Only an explanation of the code. If you buy this, you are abandoned. I took it apart and found out that it was actually broken on the inside. This probably happened during shipping. Below is the rest of my original review: This actually arrived broken. It was stuck on the e01 code. The instruction said that this is the safety switch underneath the bean hopper. No such item is identified anywhere in the instructions. The instructions keep on changing the name of things like the various buttons. It is very difficult to understand how to operate the machine. Since this was apply to me as a vine reviewer, a replacement item is not available to me. I searched the instructions, the box and online for customer support for this company Elefor. They make massagers so I went to that website and even here there is no contact us information. I called Amazon to see if they had information for the manufacturer and they had none. If anything ever happens to this product, you are on your own. There is now expressed warranty, there is no telephone number or website or email you can contact. Stay away. I took it apart and found out that it had broken and shipping. The area where the bean grinder mounts was broken on two out of his three mounting sites and this caused it to shift. The pin that operates the safety switch under the bean Hopper had fallen in and was jammed. I fixed everything inside with epoxy and urethane glue to remount the grinder. This eliminated the e01 error code. We put the brewer through its motions. The temperature on the reading was ridiculously high, about 270° but the coffee came out at 160. Espresso supposed to be brewed at 190. The steamer spits out water long before it spits out steam. All in all, This is a subpar machine for cheap money with no warranty and no support. Definitely a "I would not buy again" item. Spent a few more bucks and buy reputable brand. I use my Vine access to create informative reviews. It is my honest, uncompensated opinion. I test products against the claims made on their Amazon web page. No 5 star rubber stamps here.
