This chair is extremely comfy and breaks-in after only a few hours. I am 5'10 and have no problem using the leg rest... it is definitely not a foot rest. Assembly is easy and comes with a guide. It took me roughly 30 minutes to put the chair together. Assembly involved screwing in the armrests, popping the wheels on, attaching the base to the back and screwing it in, then popping the top the bottom. The padding seems durable and is extremely comfy. I am 195 lbs and do not "bottom out". It lays back far enough to sleep comfortably.The pillows are removable. They were uncomfortable at first... but I kept them to see if I would change my opinion and now I love them! The lumbar support is firm and the head support is plush enough to hold your head at a comfortable angle. This chair is excellent for the price. ... show more

Purchased this to replace a 20 year old "office" chair. Quick and easy to assemble once I looked at the instructions to get the right bolts in to the right places. Included hex keys did the trick, so didn't break out my heavy box of tools. Little massaging pillow is neat. Used it w/ a battery pack that normally recharges my phone when I'm out and about (like that ever happens now, Thanks Covid.) Seat is configured so that back reclines while seat remains horizontal. Lots of "wiggle" space (I'm 6'2, 300, but still need to adjust my posture once in a while, so bigger is better.) So far it's holding up (2 days). Base for chair was simple to unfold and insert wheels. Not sure how long it will hold up, so saving the after market aluminum base from old chair, just in case. ... show more

The packaging was bad but not fatal, thank god. It was really scratched up from the metal piece thats attached to the back peice, it ripped through the box and got scratched up but I don't mind at all because that peice is hidden when assembled anyways. I love the fact that this chair is cheap but so durable. I also love the design. But, I do dislike the amount of cushioning there is on the part of the chair where you sit down ... show more

I bought this chair for my nephew, for his bedroom, & he loves it. He wanted to pick out his own, but after months, he still hadn't looked at a single chair. Guys!!! *** UPDATE 9/17/2020 *** The chair continues to be as comfortable as before, but the height pedestal is no longer staying at the set height - the chair will unexpectedly loose height when in use, and when it happens in a gaming session, that distraction will get you killed. I'm well under the supposed weight limitation, the chair is on an acrylic floor mat, and it's not even 20 months used. I'm going to have to replace this, I can't work from the lowest height setting. **Original Review** Great chair, comfortable and easy to assemble. One small blemish/cut on the rear end of one of the arm's padding, but I was able to seal it with a smidge of a drop of super glue. Aside from that, it was exactly what I needed and wanted. I'm planning to use the chair in it's upright position mostly, so I doubt I'll see the complaint of the chair arms becoming loose - I imagine that it could be a problem if you were to lounge in the reclined position 2-3 times daily over time, with the arms constantly having to adjust from reclined to upright position over many changes. If you are gaming, and playing in the chair as a gaming chair, I believe there would not be any problems with loosening of any of the bolts. ... show more

    • Nice style, and great features, but not comfortable, badly proportioned.
I really wanted to like this chair. I gave it two weeks to see if I could get used to it, but eventually returned it. Pros: * Nice style. * The leaning back + footrest feature is awesome. * The metal center + metal back support seem strong enough. * Rolls well, and overall seems strong enough (but see the cons about loose screws). Cons: * It's a lot narrower than it looks. It has these "wings" to kind of cradle you when you sit in it. The inner part of those wings is really narrow (I forgot to measure it before returning it) - unless you are very slim you end up sitting *on* on the wings (with a space between the middle of your back and the backrest), and that's just not very comfortable. * The base (the seat) is too long, so if your knees are pressed against it, your back still doesn't reach the backrest. You can help a bit by tilting the back forward, but that's not very comfortable. If you tilt it back to be semi-relaxed, you pretty much have to extend the footrest and stick your feet straight out. (I think they made it so large so they have room for the footrest sliders.) * The back wobbles, because, despite using power tools, I could not get the screws tight enough to actually stay tight. They would be tight at first, then slowly loosen. * Every time you lean it back/forward you loosen the screws holding the armrests to the chair. Eventually they shake and wobble, and you tighten the screws again. But they don't stay tight. They should have added some kind of bearing to let it move instead of letting it ride on the screw. * Smells bad for the first week (does eventually fade). * Not a fan of the material, I was constantly sweating on it - and that was in the winter! * The seat has all this hard stitching on it. So instead of sitting on smooth comfortable material, you are sitting on bumps. * The two pillows are useless. I don't know who they are made for. The lower one is far too thick. The upper one is not adjustable up/down, so unless you are exactly the right height you'll find it useless. They also should have made it possible to leave the pillows attached (for when you lean back), but out of the way the rest of time. Instead of making me completely remove them. So despite really wanting to like it, and loving the leaning back feature, and waiting 2 weeks to see if the material would soften, I eventually gave up and returned it. They need to take this back to the drawing board, and redo it. They have promising elements, but they need to be refined. ... show more
