I had my eye on this for a long time and finally gave in. The first night, I used it to steam new curtains and it worked magnificently! It heats up pretty quick and removes wrinkles easily. I like that the water compartment holds a lot of water. It did not leak at all and keep in mind, I've used it mostly for large curtains, so I'm sometimes at a weird angle with this. I found it was easy to use and I got the hang of this pretty quick. Also, this thing looks and feels luxurious! I had a plastic purple steamer in college, and I feel so mature with this one now. The box it came in is also a esthetically pleasing and I keep my steamer stored in.

After having 2 Conair Professional upright steamers die after several years of use, I decided to give this Electrolux handheld steamer a try. It works amazing and I am not disappointed at all after switching from a "professional" steamer. The Electrolux steamer comes in a quality box that can be saved to conveniently store the steamer and parts after use. Stop working after 6 months. Electrolux customer service is non responsive. Don’t buy. Too expensive for what it does. Would return it if I could. UPDATE: Customer service call me back after another days and made it right. They took my name and address and will be sending me new. No fuss, no argument, easy does it.

I like to travel with this garment steamer as have found hotels increasingly don’t have irons or boards and this way I can always quickly and easily steam the wrinkles out of my clothes. You simply add water to the reserve and use. It heats up quickly and produces a nice amount of steam which works well on most fabrics. The cord is long enough to be able to use comfortably and it’s a very convenient size as doesn’t take up too much space.

Finally a steamer that works. I’ve bought three other steamers and could never get a good result. My last one would randomly spit out water while steaming and would barely take out any wrinkles. This was recommended on “House of Valentina” you tube channel so I thought I would give a steamer another try. Finally! One that works! It is packaged in a nice black box and I felt like I was opening up an early Christmas present! It heats up fast and took the wrinkles out of my very wrinkly curtains. It’s a tad heavier than my last one but still easy and comfortable to hold. I used it on the highest setting and it worked quickly. It heats up almost right away and didn’t make any weird marks on my linen curtains. I filled up the water tank twice to steam two 105” long curtain panels. My only con is the handle gets pretty hot after using it for a good amount of time. This is definitely five star steamer. I bought it on sale for $59.99 and it is worth every penny.

I looked forward to getting this based on reviews and also my own experience with Electrolux products. The pros are that this is a good steamer. It heats up fast. The two attachments snap on and off relatively easily. My first task was 100% cotton canvas, so kind of an unfair test as canvas is tough. Wrinkles once in canvas seem to stay in. This is working, but on this fabric needs several passes. The blue color is very pretty and its storage box is high quality. The cons? It's big and heavy, which I could live with were it not for the location of the button to snap out the water tank. See the photo. That button is right next to my pinky finger. I worried that I could end up popping it unintentionally and releasing the tank. That is exactly what happened. Now I'm trying to figure out how to hold it to avoid that while still having a firm grip. Also, when I've moved my hand up to get away from the tank button, the index finger gets too close to the heat from the steamer. If anyone has any ideas on how to better hold this appliance, I'm all ears. Was thinking I'd be giving this five stars, so I feel badly giving it only three.
