  • Why did I not buy this sooner?
Style: 2.5 Gallon
OK, it’s only been about 30 days of you so far but I love this thing and I’m so happy every time I go to use the faucet. I’d have to run the water for two minutes in the past just to get it warm enough to do some dishes and I’d wind up saving them now. I just walk right up scrub the pan and all is well. It’s been pretty cold here too, and it’s on an outside wall and it still is warm as it was last month when I first started using it I hope it last if it doesn’t I’d buy another it’s that satisfying and saves water in the end as I have a septic system and prefer not to run water when I don’t have to ... show more

  • Make sure your connections are tight.
Style: 4 Gallon
I installed the 4 gallon model under our kitchen sink as a booster water heater. No more waiting for the hot water to get hot! I ran the hot water supply to the blue inlet on the water heater and the outlet red hose to the faucet hot side. This gives us hot water in a matter of seconds now. Working great after 2 weeks. FYI the pressure valve leaked when I used the Teflon tape. I used pipe sealant instead and tightened the valve very tight with a big pipe wrench. I also installed a stainless pan under the water in case of future leak possibilities as another reviewer suggested. The pan was a stainless cat litter pan I bought on Amazon. Also the red heating light is not very bright, you might not see it well in a bright light location. It took me about 3 hours to install because I had to make a second trip to the plumbing supply to get another hose for my hookup. I used a 30" and had to couple 2 20" hoses to reach my supply. I also ran the overflow tube to the drain pipe with a brass fitting. Drilled a hole in the plastic pipe and used JB weld to seal it. It is very quiet when heating. Make sure you get it filled before you plug it in and turn it on. ... show more

  • Great for small spaces.
Style: 8 Gallon
We have linked two 8 gallon water tanks to provide hot water for a one bedroom apartment with limited space for a large water heater. We used to have an on demand water heater but that required frequent cleaning of filters. We decided to return to a traditional water heater and this was our solution . We have combined this with a Bosch one. I only gave it 4 stars because it depends entirely on how long it works. One of the Bosch heaters only lasted a couple of years. Supposedly they should last for 6. We shall see. ... show more

  • Use pipe threading compound and tape on fittings.
Style: 2.5 Gallon
Very easy to install. Only thing I could suggest manufacturer change is making the bottom flat. Good value for price.

  • Bad thread tape
Style: 1.5 Gallon
Don't use the provided thread tape, The T&P valve leaked even with 5 wraps. I took it out and used professional thread tape from a plumbing supply house and it didn't leak after that.
