I did not get this for its intended use. I needed something to keep all of my plugs for yard decorations dry. This thing works but only has the large opening at the bottom as access for wiring and so I had to rig it a little for my needs. The box seems sturdy and when used as intended it should be perfectly fine for someone. It’s working to keep my plugs dry but other boxes I have work better for this and have more sealed entry points for wires. I need this for its size though. Would recommend for on wall installation for sure.

Steel Electrical Junction Box 3/5 Good quality box, but clunky and cheap lock. Box came with various mounting hardware, and internal hardware. Metal is about ⅛” thick, is weather proof, and comes with a removable bottom plate and gasket. If you need actual security for the box, you will want to install an external hasp.

This page shows a number of industrial/commercial applications for this junction box, but I've also been able to put it to good use at my personal residence. My situation may be a little unusual, but I have three drainage pumps in my backyard, plus a number of security cameras, and landscape lighting as well. I've used this box for making waterproof connections and keeping things organized. It's now about full and I might need to add a second box if I keep adding electrical stuff. It's a solid, sturdy box and can even be locked. Includes two keys. Very well-built. Should last a LONG time!

This junction box is excellent. It is very large, feels extremely strong and closes properly. The included seal is water tight, but remember to use sealant on the perimeter of the back as there are some holes there. The lock comes with two keys, and feels strong enough to withstand some abuse. The bottom has a hole for your cabling or ducting. There is an additional seal included for that as well.
