I bought the wheelchair for my mom, her confidence in maneuvering & controls gave her much needed freedom. And we also found the ability to manually operate as a conventional wheelchair in crowded elevators or restaurants was a huge perk that is not afforded in conventional 'scooter' devices or bulky dedicated motorized chairs.
