I've always been curious about electric scooters as it seems the tech and the prices have made them much more viable as a non-car option for transportation. I've never used a non-electric scooter so I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to ride it effectively but I figured I'd give it a shot - especially with this kowoee HeroPick model which seems to balance price and size the way I wanted. It wasn't the most powerful or expensive but it was smaller and I hopefully lighter. As I wanted to use it for short shopping trips, I wanted it to be as small as possible so I could throw it onto the shopping cart and not have to lock it up. This unit ended up being heavier and a bit larger than I expected but I'm guessing the other ones I was looking at were even heavier and bulkier given the specs. There were some minor assembly steps I had to do before I could ride; attachment of the main handlebar with 6 screws and the kickstand with 2 screws. Unfortunately I also had to install a phone app to "activate" the scooter and it did not seem optional. Ironically one of the main reasons I wanted a scooter was so I'd get outside more and disconnect from technology, but I guess there's no escaping it and its rather upsetting that this step reminded me of how far we've fallen. Anyway, once I got it set up I topped off the charge and took it out for a spin - and I really love it! It moves fast and feels like it has plenty of power even though I feel I have yet to really push it to its limit. Its simple enough to the point where I could learn how to use it quickly. It has 3 "gear" modes and since I didn't really see what I had it set to before trying to learn it I found out I had it on the max setting the whole time. The brakes work well and feel solid and there's a lever below the brake for a bell, which hopefully I don't have to use. The handlebars feel solid yet controllable, and that section folds down and locks to the back of the scooter to make it more compact for moving and storage. The handlebars still stick out a lot to the sides and I wish I could fold them in, so I'm looking into maybe investing in some modifications for that. The charger is a small power brick with cords on both sides similar to a moderate laptop or mini PC so nothing huge or hard to replace on that front, and the plug going into the scooter is just like that of one of my laptops so I'm guessing they use the same parts ecosystem. You cannot charge the scooter and have it connected to your app as the whole thing is shut down if it is plugged in. Overall I am very happy with my first experience with an electric scooter and have fast become a fan of these kowoee / HeroPick scooters! The $300 asking price is a good value for the quality construction, and for budget was right in line with where I wanted something with more range and power than the bare minimum but did not have an overly large and heavy body like the more expensive models. Ultimately, the joy and fun I felt moving around with this is priceless - and I'm surprised that something as simple as a scooter like this can bring this much happiness! Recommended!

I want to start this review off complimenting the company itself. The first scooter that I received was not working correctly. It would only work for 20 mins and then died. Within the week, it wouldn't turn on at all. I contacted the company through an Amazon rep and explained my frustrating situation. From there the company ended up sening me a new, perfectly functioning scooter! It was a long back and forth process but they were kind and helpful through the whole thing. Have confidence in buying from this company. Scooter Review: My family LOVES this scooter. I got this for myself (an adult female), but of course all the kids and my husband have been using it too. It is definitely heavy but I think that is an asset in a fast scooter. I like that I never feel like the scooter is going to easily tip over when I am turning. It feels solid even at the higher speeds. I feel safe using this scooter and am having lots of fun zipping around on it. We live in a very hilly neighborhood. In Sport mode, my scooter tops out around 14 mph going up big hills (125 pounds). My son (only 84 pounds) could still reach 18 mph going up the hill. My husband (185 pounds) could only hit around 10 mph going up the same hills) and the battery drained quicker, so weight of the rider does matter in the speed and battery life. I can ride up to 20 mph on a flat or slightly downhill roads. We have used it for between 1.5 to 2 hours straight in sports mode. We have yet to completely drain the battery of the fully functioning scooter. Usually it still has 4 bars of battery left. The brakes work well but I also like that releasing the throttle acts as a brake. It slows you down. I use that method a lot to slow down. I mostly only use my scooter in sports mode because it is more fun to go fast, but I do like the other modes. Eco mode is great for kids who you don’t want to go as fast. It also saves on battery because it doesn't let you use the battery going down hills. Ultimately, I would definitely get this again, especially with the confidence of knowing the company stands behind its product’s quality. My husband is already saying he might want to get his own scooter.

I ordered this on a whim because I remembered how much fun I had riding a scooter as a kid. Needless to say, electric scooters have come a very long way since then. I wasn’t sure how much I would actually use it, but after spending the last couple of weeks riding it around my neighborhood and on nearby paved trails, I’ve had a lot more fun with it than I expected. Assembly was quick, with just a few parts to attach before it was ready to go. The folding mechanism is simple to use, making it easy to store in my garage or load into the back of my SUV when I want to take it somewhere else. It feels sturdy under me, and I never felt like it was flimsy or unstable while riding. The 350W motor has plenty of power for cruising around, and I like having four riding modes depending on where I’m riding. Pedestrian mode is useful when people are around, while Sport mode is noticeably quicker and tops out around 20 mph, which feels surprisingly fast when you’re standing on a scooter. The rear suspension also does a nice job taking some of the harshness out of cracks and uneven pavement. It doesn’t make rough roads disappear, but the ride is definitely smoother than I expected from an 8.5-inch scooter. I also like the companion app. It was easy to connect, and I was able to check the battery level, change settings, and lock the scooter from my phone. Cruise control is another nice feature for longer stretches of smooth pavement, and the LED display is bright enough to see while riding. Battery life has been good for the way I’ve been using it. I haven’t ridden anywhere close to the maximum advertised range in a single trip, but for neighborhood rides and short errands it has been more than enough. Like any electric scooter, actual range will depend on rider weight, speed, hills, and how often you’re accelerating. My only suggestion would be to spend a little time getting comfortable before jumping into the faster modes. If you’ve never ridden an electric scooter before, 20 mph feels much quicker than it sounds. In the end, this turned out to be one of those impulse orders that I’m really glad I made. It’s fun, easy to ride, folds up for storage, and has enough features to make it feel much more polished than the simple kick scooters I grew up with.

I received this item neatly enclosed in a box that offers plenty of protection, ensuring that the electric scooter is received in excellent condition. Inside the box is the scooter, charger, tools for assembly, and user materials. After reviewing the product information, everything appears to be included as shown in the product description. I like that this scooter balances portability with features that make it practical for everyday commuting. Although I appreciate that this is marketed as being an option to help make one’s daily commute a bit greener, honestly I ordered this so I could have fun zipping around my neighborhood. It is possible that I am too old for this, but I have had a great time and so far haven’t broken any bones, so definitely winning. It arrives mostly assembled, and getting it ready to ride takes very little time. The folding mechanism is simple to use, making it much easier to store in a car trunk or tuck away when not in use. The dual suspension does a good job of smoothing out uneven pavement, and the braking system feels responsive and controlled. I also appreciate the bright LED display, which makes it easy to keep an eye on speed and battery life while riding. The companion app adds a few nice conveniences, including battery monitoring and the ability to customize certain settings. I bought this scooter as a 16 year old and I was really excited it’s been something I’ve always wanted. When It got here I was absolutely stoked. Once I set it up I went outside and rode for 5 minutes down to foodlion at 20mph, and suddenly it stopped working. It said an error code and I tried everything to fix it. Returning it and getting better scooter for 550$. DO NOT BUY
