Right out of the box, I was surprised how sturdy and well-built the scooter is. The aluminum is certainly of a higher grade. I had a cheaper scooter previously that, as I rode, would lose the screws that hold the handlebar in place. The screws here tighten snugly and never budge. In two months I have yet to retighten the screws. The EC9 in blue doesn't look like every other generic scooter out there either. It's slightly larger, heftier, and comes with 10" wheels and suspension for a smooth ride, a nifty storage bag that holds your charger and other belongings, turn lights, a bell, and tops out @ 21 mph (though like all scooters, actual top speed is a couple mph less during most of your ride.) My first scooter arrived with tail light not working. I didn't notice this until after a few weeks of use. Customer Service was responsive and helpful in paying to ship back the defective unit. They even made a very generous offer for me to keep it. Too bad I don't know a thing about how to repair scooters. 2nd scooter has worked perfectly. A few minor drawbacks. It's a bit heavier than the advertised 37 lbs (the box says it's 40 lbs.) Trade-off for how sturdy it is. The battery life is average (I suppose that's what you get for a higher top speed). At the fastest setting, you'll get about 13-15 miles. Also, when you turn it on, it defaults to the lowest speed setting so you have to change it every time. Still, you won't find a scooter that offers similar specs, looks as attractive, and is as well-built @ $200. ... show more

Product arrived defective, showing E10 error code directly out of the box. Customer Support was relatively effective but quite slow, eventually resulted in refund. Was meant to be a Christmas gift, but as it didn’t work needed to be replaced by another brand of e scooter.

I bought this scooter as a graduation gift for my son, so he can save gas and be able to get around on campus being a freshman. I'm am so pleased to say it's sturdy durability is worth every penny spent. The weight capacity is over 260lbs + and the speed is great. It folds very easy. He loves the turn signals, brake light and the headlights especially at night because he's visible to others. It's has way more features than then described. Battery life is long lasting. Height adjustment is good. So many good things but the best is the scooter allow my son to make it to class on time and 2 months as a college student he was just inducted in to the Honors College and has all A's I'm so proud of him and he so thankful he doesn't have to walk around campus and he said it's fun to ride with great functionality. Probably too soon to review, I've been using it for a week and it runs well, it feels sturdy and seems to be built with good quality materials BUT the design is not very favorable. The mudguard is just bad because if you step on a puddle all your back will end up splashed with mud, its not easy to handle or carry. I'm used to the portability of my previous scooter and i just can't adjust to this one, it just feels too bulky. It runs well though, i like that, you can adjust the top speed and i honestly haven't been able to reach the top speed because I mostly use it to commute in within my workplace, i was able to reach 22 mph. The battery seems to have good range, I've only charged it once and it still has half the battery in a week of daily use. Overall i would rate it 8/10 ... show more

    • Decent buy, false power/speed claims
This is a decent scooter but it clearly not as powerful as it claims. I bought a 350W one from another brand for my wife, and this "500W" one for me being taller and heavier and the 350W one is stronger going uphills and faster top speed. i thought it was just my weight so I swapped with my wife and we raced and I still won on the 350W one. Also the speedometer is not accurate because it maxes out at 19mph even going downhill when you can clearly feel you're going faster, plus compared to my wife's that's reading 18mph while it passes me. Last I checked 18 is less than 19 but I could be wrong. The rear brake stops you very fast, the only issue is it arrived with a small warp in the rotor so you feel it when braking, it's not smooth, but it works. The battery life is pretty good. I've ridden around my very hilly neighborhood (I'm in CO) for an hour and only used about 20% of the battery. Overall it's cool and fun but not worth the price compared to the cheaper, stronger one I bought for my wife. I do like that handle bar height and deck height though. ... show more
