We had 2 scooters, same mode and brand, and they used them a lot, great product, quality, reliability, autonomy and it was by far the best recommendation for quality, cost and product features based on a ChatGPT analysis. BUYER BEWARE

Horrible customer service experience. Spent more for the model that was advertised as having better suspension and higher speeds, thinking that would help it hold up longer. The scooter stopped accelerating up hills after less than 2 months of use (the person using it weighs less than 120 pounds). I should have known if the return policy was only one month, that there would be issues. Still tried reaching out to the seller to resolve since it is under warranty. There is no way for Amazon to help you since it’s a third party, the seller after a couple days of back and forth and sending them videos, finally sent a replacement part. The part was a different size than the original part we were replacing, and when we took apart the scooter all the connections internally were held together with hot glue. It took hours to replace the part, and it still did not fix the issue. Which shouldn’t be a surprise since it wasn’t even the same size. When reaching back out to the seller, they completely ignored my response. Then tried to work with Amazon, and guess what… Amazons A to Z guarantee won’t apply to the product because we received it… I’m messaging the seller one more time and trying to give them a chance to resolve this issue, which could change this review. As it stands now, I spent almost $300 on a product held together by hot glue, with a seller that is avoiding honoring their warranty by sending parts that aren’t even for the product in what I assume is an attempt to get me to give up trying to even repairing it and take the loss. ... show more

Good starter scooter, poor suspension

This was the first scooter I bought, chosen for the price and reviews, and I think only the second scooter I had ever ridden. It has four speeds and some other features which are controlled via the mobile app. It works great, has pretty good performance but does struggle up a steep enough hill. But I also saw it had front and rear suspension which sounded good, but it is very stiff. If I hit a small rock in the road without seeing it to avoid it, I FEEL it, enough to startle me for a second. A couple of weeks ago I finally rode some Lime scooters. While heavy and not the type I would buy for other reasons, the suspension was phenomenal. The only other small critique about this one is that the app has a "lock" feature which prevents it from being used, but the scooter has to be on. So if I leave it locked up somewhere I would have to leave it on the entire time to prevent theft. So what I do is set the speed to the slowest (walk speed) before turning it off. Since you can't adjust speed on the unit, people would only be able to ride at a walking pace. I would only buy again as another starter for someone else. My next one I'll spend more and focus on more power and good suspension. ... show more

My 6 month experience

Ive had this scooter almost 6 months now. Considering the price this scooter really surprised me. I'm not a light guy at 230lbs and this thing is still hitting 30mph with heavy beach zone type winds on me and 35mph with no wind. I was stuck under 18mph once until I figured out this thing has 3 speed modes ECO which seems to limit you under 10mph, D mode which seem to cap you under 18mph and S mode which for me hit that 30-35mph.You need to double tap the power button fast to cycle between the modes. I wonder if that is why many don't go faster than 18mph. Hitting 1 inch elevated sidewalks can feel pretty hard but i'm guessing thats just my weight considering its got shocks and also the fact that its got hard rubber tires. I don't know about its 22mile range, maybe on ECO mode , I'm always just going max speed. 1 bar seems to last me about 4 miles so i guess that gives me about 16miles range at 30mph. for short commutes this scooter is great. I would probably recommend head gear, gloves and the works. Going max speed feels fine on a street but the speed alone can be a little scary considering how hard these hard rubber tires will hit any cracks. I do wish it had the ability to cap battery charging at 80% to have the battery life last longer and the power button did get stuck once (which caused me to be stuck under 18mph), so i'm thinking they could have made it of better quality or something. ... show more

Perfect Ride for My College Kid — Safe, Fast & Super Convenient!

I bought the MAXSHOT Electric Scooter for my son who’s in college, and it has already become one of the best purchases I’ve made for him. Between classes, work, and getting around campus, this scooter has completely changed his daily routine for the better. Only 10 miles per charge. Brakes are MAJOR safety issue.

I would be very hard pressed to give this above 1 star. I cannot believe nor understand how it is possible for this to be #1 in electric scooters on Amazon due to two big flaws, one being pretty severe and causing a major safety hazard. The first problem is that after trying it for 5 days, no matter what I have tried, it will not get above 10 miles on a full charge, despite being advertised as up to 21 miles per charge. No matter how flat and smooth of surface I ride it on, the battery drains the same regardless. I could possibly forgive that since I got it purely for recreation, but the second problem is a real doozy. The brakes. They do not work based on how much pressure you apply to them. They only actuate at one point during the press, and it stops so hard and so suddenly that it almost throws you over the handle bars. It is extremely unsafe, and there is no way around it, that's just how they work. I felt completely unsafe riding this and could not enjoy it even for a second because of the brakes being this way. In fact, the brakes jerk so hard that even with just a small amount of sweat on my palms, which is easy to accumulate because you are scared to death the entire time to even be on this deathtrap of a machine and to even touch the brake handle due to how terrible they are, that I almost lost my grip over and over again, and almost had many bad wrecks in only 5 days. Amazon needs to investigate this because if the brakes are like this on every scooter, it is a major safety issue, which is why it is so bewildering to me that this could possibly be the #1 selling electric scooter on Amazon. This being my first ever Escooter, and also being "#1 in electric scooters" on here, what am I supposed to do? Roll the dice on another Escooter and just hope that the brakes actually function correctly? I'm not going through this again, I am just returning it and unfortunately forgetting any idea I had about having a Escooter for fun and recreation. Obviously, one would have to just avoid cheap junk like this and actually spend big bucks on a real product, in which I do not need it to commute so I don't need to spend a thousand dollars or more on a good one because I have a car to drive to and from work. ... show more
