They charged in about a hour. The functionality is excellent. Easy to fill and use. Adjustable coarseness is excellent. The grind speed is good. The only thing I don't like about the design is where the on button is and how sensitive it is. It's too easy to hit it when you pick it up and carry it.

I love fresh pepper ang got tired of having to twist pepper mills. I tried one other 'electric' pepper grinder. It was difficult to fill and a small amount came out. This set is attractive, easy to use and refill. I am very satisfied with salt grinder as well.

THESE ARE EXCIPTIONAL GRINDERS. We have used other electric grinders but they were battery powered, they went through batteries like they were going out of style . They used six AAA batteries and so changing the batteries every 2 weeks was expensive. These grinders are rechargeable and the batteries last longer plus you don't have to buy expensive batteries. It works great I don't usually give a 5 star rating bur these deserve it a
