This is a lighter weight alternative to the propane catalytic heaters. I really liked that it has a connection before the heater so that once you run the included long wires from the battery to the front dash, it can be disconnected all summer. Not all of the electric heaters had a built in disconnect! In fact, you only need to connect it when you need it. The base will expand to lock it in to a cup holder. Being fairly light weight, it will stay in place very well. There is an on/off switch at the top of the heater. My big question was how much energy it draws from the Lithium batteries I have. I have four 12V 100AH batteries in series making 48V 100AH. When I turned it on, it took about 7 minutes to decrease the batteries 1% according to my RECON meter. I typically don't drive it below 65% (farthest course), sometimes not below 75% (closest course) - while getting to the golf course, playing and returning home. If one keeps some reserve in the battery (10%), you could estimate 25% available and this would equal 175 minutes or almost three hours heat. Realize this is continuous heat. In practice, you might run it for 5-10 minutes and then turn it off. This practice would even lengthen the real time it could run. I have been satisfied with this unit.

This little heater really put out a lot of heat. The only thing i wish was better is the swivel part that attaches to the back of the heater does not tighten enough and the heater always ends up pointing down after a ride. Its easy enough to move back up, it's just annoying.

Wow, just what I needed for my golf cart in the winter months. We’re staying at the beach for most of winter and this is perfect! Easy to set up and puts off a lot of heat! I like the size of it and doesn’t weigh a lot.

I bought this because I drive at night and it gets super cold because of the wind. It’s not cold enough to warrant bundling up until I’m on the cart. The heater is a good alternative to putting on a hoodie for the drive and taking it off after. I took my friends for a ride once and they were so impressed with the heater!

Puts out a fair amount of heat, but not near as much as a propane heater. It really draws A LOT of power off of your battery pack if you are using it constantly. Pulled my 90 Ah pack all the way down in just 12 holes of constant use. I sent mine back.
