The length of this fireplace is not as long as description advertised but will work for purpose we purchased for. UPDATED: I ordered this electric fireplace for numerous reasons. First off, it is only November of 2022, but the weather is exceptionally cold for this time of year. I needed an additional heat source. This fireplace's ability to generate and distribute heat has greatly surpassed my expectations. I find myself having to shut the heat off or turn to the lowest setting because it is doing such a great job of warming the space. The second reason I purchased this electric fireplace is because I like the look of the flame ambiance with the option of the fireplace not releasing heat. This means I can use this fireplace year round and still have the coziness of a fire. Third, I really like the design of this fireplace. The mantle looks great and is a wonderful addition to any space. The fireplace creates an element of elegance and luxury. After purchasing this electric fireplace, I would highly recommend it. I rate it with a five star rating. UPDATE: When I first received this product I noticed some damage to the base board and mantle. The shipping company dropped my fireplace and broke the base board and the mantle. (See photos.) The damage does not seem to have impacted the functionality of the fireplace. However, I was not happy with the damage to the base board and mantle so I contacted the supplier. Within days, they had sent me the two new pieces to replace the damaged ones. They were extremely easy to work with and very prompt. The updated version of this review includes the five star rating on the product and five star rating on customer service. To begin with this item was supposed to arrive by the 7th/8th of Nov. 2022. In my Amazon account it showed the item as “lost”, however, UPS sent notification that it was en route, but running late. A few days later my Amazon account showed the item as running late. Then again, a day or two later… Amazon showed it as lost. UPS Showed in transit the whole time. So I told myself if it didn’t arrive by Wednesday, it’s probably lost. I waited, long behold, it arrived, Tuesday, Nov 15, 2022. Unfortunately though, it’s pretty damaged. Amazon did offer partial refund & we keep, but the damage was pretty bad. I am disappointed Amazon doesn’t have any other fireplace I liked as much as this one, specifically, none in this price range. I do believe it’s a descent product, unfortunately it was not packaged properly and Probably not handle gently either. I am giving it 3 stars because it has potential, unfortunately it just didn’t work out for me. And I’m Very disappointed, but that doesn’t necessarily mean this product is crappy. It honestly seems like it simply is a quality control issue. Amazon handled this issue very well. We ended up sending photos per their request and they refunded us 100%! I didn’t mention assembly, heat output or the remote control because I obviously am not wasting time putting this damaged item together. ... show more

The base of the fireplace came in busted but I pulled out all the broken nails and glued and nailed it back into place. Added some wood filler and paint in the corner and it’s not noticeable now. The instructions were clear for assembly and looks nice from a distance. There are a few gaps where the pieces join together but they aren’t too bad. The heater component is awesome and does have the noise of a quiet fan. The flames and logs aren’t realistic but they’re better than most. Once put together it is very sturdy, pretty, and functional. Was in the market for a fireplace for our bedroom. Came across this one. Fireplace looks real, unlike most others. Was extremely easy to put together, instructions were clear and only took about 30 minutes to assemble.
