Charming, easy to assemble and gets warm! We put this in our teenage son's bedroom and when he wakes in the morning he turns on the heat and his room warms up in 10 minutes then he turns it off or it gets too warm. His room is 10x14. At night he leaves the fireplace flame lights on since he thinks it looks cool. Win Win. ... show more

This is my 2nd fireplace that I've bought from Amazon. The first only lasted a year and a half before the on/off switch broke. So this time, I decided touch screen/remote was the way to go. Loved that it only came in 2 pieces so there was NO building. It was packed wonderfully (that's huge with me!) And the design is perfect for my little reading room. The display options are great and although it doesn't have sound, I already have a fireplace "speaker" so that's ok. The reason for the 4 stars is that the wood, if inspected close up, looks a little on the fake side but I can overlook that. Have to say though that I was pretty impressed that the company even thought to include a bottle of touch up paint! Look forward to years of enjoyment. ... show more

The fireplace itself is lovely and was easy to install. It seems to heat up well and is true to description. The remote however does not work. I've tried a fresh battery in case to no avail. I can't figure out her to contact the company to get a new remote.
