So I actually bought this heater to use outside not inside (it would look great inside but I wanted it for my small patio garden) It is extremely durable. We move it around a lot because of where we placed it. We have also brought it inside as well. My husband and I were shocked at how much heat it puts out for being the size it is. The heater is also easy to control, lightweight, and is perfect for a small to medium sized dwelling. The descriptions on the Thermomate fireplaces are not accurate!!! I ordered the 23” with remote (EFF203) because the description said it had a thermostat and temperature knob. IT DOES NOT!!! It’s either heat on or off with no setting for temperature. Very disappointed because it’s a nice unit and now I have to return it because it’s lacking the features I need. ... show more

it says it will heat a room 400 ft, the room its in is less than that. the graphics are nice but for how much we paid for this i would think it would put out more heat........it says in the book you can adjust the heat., can't find that anywhere was told it was a misprint. so you can't adjust the heat.... ... show more

This is much more toy-like than I expected. Functional but not peaceful. I have to turn the TV up if I turn this on at all (just fire show even because you can hear the wheel turning in the bottom). It pumps out great heat/"warmth" BUT I stopped using the heat function on it because it keeps popping my breaker (pulls lots of energy at once & probably not nice on the utility bill) BUT I quit using it for a heater ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This little fireplace is really cute! My heater was broken for the holidays and this little thing was able to heat up an entire master bedroom. Easy with the plug and you’re done. Too bad it doesn’t include a remote...so you would literally have to walk over and turn on/off and adjust the heat setting manually. But, it’s a great addition to any space and it doesn’t take a lot of room.. Would totally recommend. ... show more

Great customer service. Bought this from the warehouse knowing it had some damage to the top. But after opening found that the remote had been crushed as well. Contacted customer service for Theromate to see if I could buy a new remote. Not something they sell. They checked and found a fireplace in the Amazon Warehouse that was too damaged for resell and offered to send it to me in the hope the remote would be ok. It arrived and after replacing the battery it worked with our fireplace. Thank you again. ... show more
