I just got it and it is beautiful and warm. Beware of where you plug it in: It didn’t work at first when plugged into a weaker outlet, it wouldn’t respond at all to the remote, but after it was moved to an outlet with more power, it worked fine, as expected and responded to the remote.

    • Beautiful, but not enough heat.
This product is beautiful. I love how it looks in my living room, but it doesn’t provide as much heat as the much smaller $30 Amazon heater I originally had. I’m really disappointed as the main reason for a heater is to heat the room. It really is pretty though and the remote is a nice touch. I just think this would only be practical for very small spaces, not a living area. I don’t even know if two of these would heat up my average-sized living room. ... show more

    • Fireplaces are uncommon this far South, but sometimes you just want to sit in front of one.
100/100 This fireplace/stove is incredible. I needed a unit like this for a specific spot and THIS fills the need perfectly. The stove looks great and is SOLIDLY built. All that necessary is to install the legs on the bottom and set it upright. Plug it in and turn it on! There is a remote, but I find it to be very limited. You have to point it straight at a specific point and it still my not work until you get right up on the unit. By then, it’s easier to just open the door and turn it on manually. Now, the “fire” itself. It’s fake. If you sit and stare at it, it’s obviously fake. If you set it, turn it on, and sit around like you normally would, it looks pretty real! If it’s cold, you can even turn on the heat. The only thing missing is the sound. A roaring, crackling fire. You can have that, too with a little creativity . . . like place a speaker under the stove at the back playing a loop of a crackling fire. There are different levels of settings to adjust the flame color and speed, and once set, they become the "default" when turning it on. The curved "flame" screen is nice as it give the fire depth and allows it to be seen through the side windows adding to the realism. Ultimately, is it worth the price? YES ... show more

Sadly, I don't have a fireplace so this is a nice alternative. The set up was minimal. I was able to secure the legs on in a few minutes. You can change the color of the flames as well as the logs. We thought that was neat however I wish there were more realistic colors. you can't get brown logs or a more realistic flame. The other issue I had is the control panel on the fire place itself is taped on. It was askew when I opened the box and seems to slip off every now and then. ... show more

    • A great solution
We have 2 fireplaces and neither are functioning at the moment. Our library fireplace has an issue with the mantel no longer being up to code so it fails inspection (for height reasons). Our temporary but probably longer term than temporary solutions is to pop this in front of the fireplace. There is a bit of a delay with the remote but the flames are really cool and I like that you can do realistic colors and have warmth or no warmth. This is sturdy, easy to assemble, and looks really great. ... show more

    • Puts out very little heat and no temp settings.
There is no temp setting. Instead, you only have options for Low and High. What they consider High puts out minimal heat. It struggles to warm a decent-sized room. You'll require a lot of patience, then have to get up and turn it off during the night, only to get up and turn it on again. Very disappointing. ... show more
