Wanted an inexpensive option for a bad fireplace that will be completely rebuilt in the near future… It works but the heat output is extremely poor!! Blows straight up to the ceiling and really no way to modify it I would recommend one that blows straight out from the bottom of the fireplace would be way more effective for supplemental heating but as it stands it will look presentable enough while we remodel the front of fireplace and rebuild liner for a proper gas or wood fireplace in the future. Lighting is okay but remote is real chunky also intermittently works… side note fireplace got lost in transport showed up 2 weeks late and we where refunded completely by Amazon for the inconvenience so in the end all is good… ... show more

Unit would stop working put of the blue after only a few minutes. It worked ok initially, then started to play up. Often an awful smell like heated plastic would waft through the air. Also, for the size, it didn't provide enough heat for one small room. The small Amazon units work better. Don't recommend. ... show more

I've had it running for a month, practically every day... still works fine. It's realistic enough, and fits the hole where my other electrical fire place died. Just had to get creative to fill in a bit of gap at the top. No problem. I absolutely love the heat, when it's 2 degrees F outside!

I didn't expect to like this thing so much. This is amazing. It looks real when opened, emits moderate heat, and is easy to install. Don't forget to add ventilation space at the bottom when installing.

I was surprised by the authenticity of the flame. In accordance with the adjustment of interior lighting. I placed some decorative pieces in the front of the fireplace, which would make it feel like a real fireplace.
