We got this little fireplace stove for the ambience factor. We don't have a fireplace, and that hygge feeling was just missing. we went to those fancy stores and I just couldn't bring myself to pay thousands for one with a water line and dedicated circuit. Those are cool, but out of our priority budget. Looks and price were more important than heat output. I would say that the heat output is good. I don't love the heating fan sound, but it sounds exactly like a space heater. What I wish it had was a crackling sound to it. That would step it up a ton. I put my bluetooth speaker near it and put a log crackling sound on the bluetooth speaker and it is so much more enjoyable. (That is my #1 recommendation for whatever electric fireplace you choose.) I like the several color options for the bed and the flame. I wish there was a more relistic yellow flame. The yellow has green and other non realistic colors in it. I don't need as many flame speeds, as anything below #3, is just not realistic. I do like the little plastic nugget rocks. It gives a nice look. The dimmer is nice to get just the right amount of light in the firebox. To me, the timer is unnecessary for my needs. I can turn it on and off easily with the remote. The remote is pretty cheesy, so we shall see how long it lasts. The buttons on the inside can be out of reach for kids, with the screw key, which is nice for young families. We don't need that, but it's nice to have. While I can see on 3 sides, the sides are less realistic than the front, so you may prefer the lattice on the sides, which gives a hint of fire, but you can't then see how unrealistic the flames are. Everything was packaged and shipped well. No chips, dents, or scrapes to the unit, which would have been an automatic return for me. For the price this is great. I would not go any smaller. And, if they have any sound in the future, that would be a stellar upgrade. ... show more

I like the appearance and size of the unit and the fact that it's sturdy, made very well and has the double glass doors and pretty openings on the sides. It's a pretty piece of furniture and I am using it for the flame effect only I am not using the heat so I cannot speak for it. The movement of the flames are very realistic looking and comes in multiple speeds. The only thing is the flame color. There are two blue and yellow combinations which I don't use, and there's a red option which I think is totally unrealistic. I use the orange option but I wish the orange would have some of the yellow mixed in like they use with the blue. I think if it had a yellow and orange combination, it would be 100% realistic. I did purchase two of these for two different rooms and aside from wishing that the color combination would be different I am very happy with my two purchaes. ... show more

I got this incase the heater goes out this winter. So we can move it to a small room and stay warm. It looks very nice and seems very well made. I did add rubber to the feet so it would not scratch the floor. I have an antique large fire place surround from a 1920’s family home. And this it just sits on a wall with a fireplace. So I put this in it and it look’s awesome even when off. My son is 5 and loves changing the fire colors and log glow colors. Old dog approves of the heat too. Can’t wait for Christmas stocking to be hung over this little heater. I put my dry ice witches cauldron on it for Halloween with blue flames setting and pulled it near the front door. I enjoy everything about this fireplace except the remote. It seems hard to use since the door covers the buttons. Not really a big deal since it has a timer that goes up to 8 hours. As for heating, it’s best used in a small enclosed area. It’s lightweight and comes preassembled except for the legs. The light blue color goes well with my decor but I’m sure all the colors are nice. ... show more

I have wanted one of these for so long and I’m so happy I was able to get a good one and a nice price. It’s a very heavy substantial product. I wanted one for the visual effect. I didn’t really care whether it had a heater or not, but it’s such a plus to have it if I turn it on for a few minutes it totally takes the chill out of the air in the living room then I can turn on the furnace to heat the rest of the house. You can use it without turning on the heat, and it has a nice selection of different colors , I’ve only had it a short time and I couldn’t ask for anything more than this little fireplace delivers. I’ve seen some reviews that say it doesn’t give off enough heat and the fan makes a lot of noise. I have not experienced any problems so far but I’ve only had a short time . ... show more

So nice to have a fireplace in my bedroom. Very well built. Legs are not necessarily needed. Which was important to me. The glow of the fire is calmin and realistic. Nice to warm up room for hour before sleeping. With timer and flame glowing.
