For those who don’t like to read long detailed reviews here is the abridged version: 1. Arrived quickly and in good shape 2. Blanket very soft and nice weight 3. Set up took less than 10 minutes. 4. Heats fast, settings 1-8 5. Timer 1-8 hours 6. Independent control for each side of bed 7. Came in zippered plastic bag, great for storage The story of my new electric blanket I did not expect this blanket to be so snuggly soft. I fell in love before I ever turned on the heating element. As for heating, get ready because this blanket is fast to warm up. I hated waiting for electric blankets to heat up on a cold night. So far a setting of 1 has been perfect for here in California. A great feature is the timer. You can set the blanket to heat from 1 - 8 hours. At the same time you can adjust the heat from settings of 1 - 8. Also there is no fluctuating in the amount the blanket heats, if you set to 2 it will stay on that setting. The timer works very well. I will have the heat timer set for 2 hours and the bed stays warm all night. This tells me The blanket itself is a very good insulator. The weight of the blanket is just right. Without any other covers on top I still felt comfortable. Once I added my lightweight comforter I still did not feel weighted down. I’m not one who likes a heavy blankets holding me down so I find the weight just right. Now for the other stuff. The package arrived quickly and in good shape. I was impressed with how well the blanket came folded, in a heavy plastic bag, with a zipper, that I will use for storage. Set up was very quick and easy maybe 10 minutes at the most. My recommendation this is a great electric blanket at a very good price.

The blanket isn’t faulty if it’s flashing red. You just have to make sure the blanket is plugged into the wire before the plug goes into an outlet. It’s a safety feature in all brands of security blankets. This blanket is great. Super soft. Works fine. I got sick the night it arrived and it helped when I had chills from the flu. Just be careful with kids. This blanket got much hotter than my electric throws (I think sunbeam brand). I’ve learned to use the low setting almost always. It’s thin, which I LOVE because I can be warm without the bulk. It’s very soft. Buttery soft. I haven’t washed it yet. If there’s an issue I’ll come back and edit because reviews are important to me. All in all, there’s nothing wrong with this but I think it would be safer with a shut off timer. So I’d probably not use it for kids because it can get so hot and stays on. I’m happy with my purchase.

Arrived just in time for a really chilly night. It's now mid-October and it's getting colder outside. It actually was delivered to my home a few days early, which was awesome. So here is my review and my first initial thoughts, because I have just received it. Everything is pretty much great. I immediately took the blanket out of the packaging, which is in a clear storage case with a zipper, and was in awe of the color. IT'S BEAUTIFUL! I love this shade of blue and relied on other commenters that say it was lovely. It really is. Continuing on, it's very soft. I am so happy because my last heating blankets were not soft. They were scratchy, stiff and you could feel the wires. This blanket, you can't feel them. Unless you purposely touch to feel them, you otherwise couldn't tell it's a heating blanket. It's lightweight and easy to use. I've used this right away, too. Even as I'm writing this, I'm snuggled in bed with it on now. It's been a few hours since I've turned it on and it works like a charm. The heat is good. I'll probably update this review should anything change. I'm loving it so far. I bought 2: 1 for me and 1 for my boyfriend, and he likes it too. I was worried at first, that it took a while to heat up, but it's just fine. I really love the blankets :) *Updated 1 week later: I wanted to give some more feedback on the longevity of heat that this blanket gives out; IT IS AMAZING! The heat stays on for hours and is so incredibly soft. I sleep with this on me and layered with another soft blanket on top of it. I don't feel the wires at all and the heat distribution is wide range. I think it's honestly safe to say, I'm in love with this blanket!

The blanket is great. Makes my bed super duper cozy! I only wish it had a timer option so it would go off after 2-3hrs. Some times I wake up sweating bc it’s so warm! I’ve learned to turn it on to let it warm up while I’m getting ready for bed. Then I go ahead and turn it off before I go to sleep.

Very soft and light. Not thick at all. On the highest setting, it’s warm but the heat is mostly up top. I might try to flip it since my feet gets more cold. Other settings aren’t worth it for me as I get pretty cold all the time. Will use under a winter blanket. I like that it’s light so I can use it on my bed, then take it into the living room if I need it there. Will get one for my husband too. For twin size, under $60, worth it. Will see how long it lasts.

This blanket is huge, ans even the lowest level of heat is enough for me. Never gets too hot, I'm grateful I can handle the lowest setting just in case we would ever need it warmer. The cord detaches and makes for an awesome, warm throw if you are close to a plug in. Super easy to just wipe off messes, doesn't hold the "sticky" gunk. I use this daily.

I like this blanket, don’t love it. I like that it’s lightweight and the electrical cord is very long. The coils/wires inside are flexible and thin so the blanket doesn’t seem like a heating blanket, just a normal blanket. However, the heat isn’t great. I think because it’s very thin, the heat doesn’t stay in the blanket and even on the hottest setting, it’s not very warm. I’ve been putting another blanket on top of it and that helps a lot as it traps the heat in. Not sure I’d buy again since I bought it for the heat.

This is a really nice size. 60x80. It is a nice velourie/fleece kind of material. The only bad thing I can say is the cords are free floating in the blanket with can be uncomfortable.
