I purchased this twice, I lost my first one. I bought this mainly for its reverse compact design and its large size when open. It works great for rain. I only had to worry about my shoes(which I found shoe covers for later) while I was using this. The canopy size gives me great coverage(I’m above average kind of large) and I like how compact it becomes to put into a pocket of my cooler bag. I also live in a sun heavy summer environment, so the UV protection is amazing. One day a heavy wind and rain hit the area after work and This umbrella was bending fiercely. It did its job of covering me, however the next time I tried to open it, it wouldnt finish opening and locking. It just extended, I had to manually push it open and feel it lock. Not too long ago I also dropped it and one part wouldn't close back in, thus no longer becoming compact. I’m now looking for a double canopy design. Awesome umbrella and was fantastic during my three city trip to San Diego, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. It was brutal in the west coast during July 31 through August 11, 2023. But this umbrella saved me from the harsh sun. It does as advertised. It kept me cool, and sunburn free. The only reason for 4 stars is because it is a little wobbly when open, not as strong as I was hoping. I do love how it opens up and closes with just a push of the button. I can definitely tell a difference with the UV vs a regular umbrella.

This compact umbrella does the trick on these hot sunny days. It pops open one handed and folds in a way that keeps your hands dry if you use it in the rain. It takes a little effort to close but fits in a back pack. I like it.

This umbrella is very good at throwing “shade” (pun intended). It does the job of keeping the sun from throwing those beaming hot rays of heat at you. Especially, being in TX where the heat is paralyzing.
