I don’t usually write reviews, but since this was a bigger purchase, I wanted to share my experience after putting real miles on the bikes. I bought two of these for my wife and me after doing a lot of research. Assembly was pretty simple and straightforward. One tip: pay close attention to the pedals because they are marked left and right. I initially installed them incorrectly because I skipped that part of the instructions, but luckily I caught it before causing much damage. Out of the box, my wife felt the handlebars were too low and the seat was not comfortable. I added a stem riser, though the cable slack only allowed about 5 inches of rise, and I changed her seat to a wider cruiser-style seat. For mine, I kept the original seat and added a gel pad. After those changes, both bikes have been much more comfortable. We have each put over 200 miles on the bikes so far. One ride was about 30 miles on a gravel trail in a hilly area of Colorado. We used the throttle quite a bit, and by the end I had three battery bars left while my wife had two. We are both around the 190 lb range, so I was happy with the battery performance. I did need to adjust the brakes myself, but it was simple and they work well now. The motor feels strong enough for steep hills. The top speed on mine was around 26 mph, although I lowered the setting to about 20 mph for normal riding. The included headlight works well. The horn is very loud, which may be useful in traffic, though it is definitely noticeable. The batteries do not have the amp-hour rating printed on them, but based on the range we are getting, they seem consistent with the listed capacity. The manual could be better, especially for the display settings and cruise control. I eventually figured out that cruise control needs to be activated through the P menu by holding the plus and minus buttons at the same time. Once enabled, holding the throttle fully for about 5 seconds lets the bike cruise at the selected assist level’s speed. The top speed for each level can also be adjusted through the speed setting. There are mounting points for cargo racks, but be careful with the bolts. Mine used M5 bolts, which I had to buy separately because many racks come with M6 bolts. I also broke one bolt while installing a rack, so I would recommend going slowly. Overall, the bike feels sporty, fun, and powerful for the price. It gets a lot of compliments, and it has been a great value so far. It weighs about 47 lbs without the battery and around 55 lbs with the battery, so keep that in mind if you plan to use a hitch rack. I can’t speak to long-term durability yet, but after more than 200 miles on each bike, I would definitely buy it again. ... show more

What a freaking nightmare! We received the bike broken. Throwing off error codes. I tried to return it and they wanted me to pay 280.00 to return it. Which is absolutely insane! why should I have to pay to return a broken bike that never worked from the beginning??? Company wasn't very helpful. wanted to send us new parts. Which wouldn't do us any good because no bike place in out surrounding areas will fix Amazon e bikes. So it would be left to us to fix it ourselves??? Makes no sense! I tried to explain that to the company, that we wouldn't be able to fix it ourselves. But all they wanted to do was give us new parts. It would have been nice if they would have paid for shipping so we could have returned it for a new bike. But nope they don't want to do that. So long story short, we tried to fix it ourselves. That just made it worse!!! Damn thing is junk and we tossed it out. We turned around and bought another bike from someone else and wouldn't you know....it works! With no issues. You get what you pay for with this one. I wouldn't recommend. Don't buy. Amazon was helpful with this either. No one wanted to help me fixed the problem. I didn't want anything free. I just want what I paid for. Oh, and when we got the bike and put air in the tire, damn tube exploded. So we had to replace that too. Just a peice of freaking junk. Spend the extra money and get the better bike. We learned the hard way! ... show more

I had been holding off on an ebike for some time, looking for a less expensive yet still solid option. - Assembly instructions were on the light side, a bit too brief but doable. For me, it was ~90 minutes, and I took my time. - My front brake was not on the fork which wasn't referenced in the instructions, but was easy to install. - You will want to set the brakes once it's assembled. - It's a heavy bike and may be difficult for some to hoist up if needed. - Torque was very impressive. I was nervous and took off in 6th gear with motor power only, and it was no problem at all. It spun up to full speed quickly. - I'm a 220 pound guy and max speed was 24-25 mph, motor only. On a bike frame, albeit a beefy bike frame, I feel like 25mph is fast enough. - The gears are excellent and required no tweaks. - Brakes are good but, as mentioned, you should make sure they're set properly which is easy to accomplish. Overall, I think this is a solid bike at a very good price, especially if you go for the less powerful battery which would clearly be enough for folks making a trip to the local store a few miles away, etc. My neighbor took it for a spin and may purchase the same model as well. He also thought it was a solid bike at a great price point. I will provide updates for anything I believe to be worthy of sharing. I recommend this product. ... show more

The bike works great, you have to adjust the brake pads so they don’t rub on the rotor. You can even adjust how sensitive the electric motor is when you pedal. Bike came with a 7.8 Ah battery, not the 12 Ah battery as advertised. Only rode 15 miles and I was down to the last bar of power on the meter. This company is falsely advertising the product. Continued review after over 125 miles of use: *Do not waste your money* I can only get 16-17 miles max before the battery is empty. Components are junk. Constant need to adjust the rear derailleur and it still doesn't work well, don't trust the breaks, they are weak. Chain falls off the front chain ring multiple times in a short ride on a bike path, wouldn't take this on dirt at all! Had to purchase a chain keeper to keep the chain on the front ring, and I still have issues because the chain is not lined up with the rear wheel. Short bike ride leads to frustration and dirty hands. Only good thing is that its still running after 125 miles, but I doubt it will make it over 500 before I become so frustrated I get rid of it or the battery doesn't work. ... show more
