Great bike for the price. My son has had it for 9 months. It’s been great for him commuting to and from practice and hanging out with friends. We have had to fix some things here and there. For example buy replacement tires and fix brakes. My son has also make small upgrades. His friends have other bikes including more expensive ones. What we have seen is it is normal to have to put in some work after frequent use, just like a car. The battery life if pretty good on a full charge. If they are riding around all day they usually have to stop by cafe and grab a drink while they charge. Before buying this bike for a child i strongly recommend you teach them the basic rules of traffic and road safety. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Affordable Shipping was pretty fast, love the bike rides great. Only issue I had was either packaging or shipping unsure which one but received item,and discovered after assembly that I couldn't even ride it due to the derailleur being bent nearly all the way into the spokes on the wheel, chain was off by a whole sprocket and a half with chain rub on rear tire, purchased a new derailleur which was only 17 dollars, Switched out to new derailleur and I am beyond happy with my purchase. I just suggest for the amount for shipping item could be more securely packed to protect sensitive parts that can easily be damaged. I would definitely purchase again!!!! ... show more

My son has been putting it to the test (even though I told him to take it easy), and it’s actually holding up better than I expected. Very solid bike and my son loves it. However there are some serious safety concerns that I have contacted the seller about. Still awaiting a response from them. The front brake does not work, when it is squeeze a fluid which I assume is brake fluid was released onto my newly sealed driveway. Additionally, the horn button turns on the headlight ( which does not stay on ) and the light button honks the horn. Seller please contact me asap! Thank you! Assuming the seller responds promtly with an acceptable solution this turns into a five star rating with a happy rider! Updated: Just to follow up to the above review. The seller responded and I have to say, it was one of the BEST customer service experiences I have ever had. A resolution has been reached to my liking which will in turn correct the safety concerns mentioned above.
