Just received the AC, and can't wait to try it. It is larger then the one I had before, and it comes with a remote. However, It is installed on the window easily. I turned it on, switch to cooling mode, and turn it down to the lowest temp, it takes a few minute to cool down my room. This AC also has auto fan speed setting and auto mode setting, which is great! This window AC has been working great for my living room so far. It cools the space down much faster than I expected, even during hotter afternoons. The noise level is pretty reasonable, and I like having different fan speeds plus the remote control. Installation took a little time, but once set up, it’s been very easy to use. Definitely feels powerful enough for a larger room and worth the money.

I have a 2200+ sq. ft. home in south west Florida, it gets HOT in season, so my central AC system is on all the time and creates a big electric bill. I could save some money buy running this window unit in my bedroom to create a second zone that I could keep at a comfortable sleeping temperature while the rest of the house is being kept at a higher temperature, anyway that's my logic for this window air unit for me. So I gave it a shot with the Electactic 10,000 BTU U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner and found it to be an effective cooling solution for my needs. The U shape stands out for its non-obstructive design that "straddles" the window keeping most of the noisy components outside a wall so it is relatively quite inside while running. The unit delivers strong structural performance designed for maximum indoor comfort. Cooling power is 10,000 BTU capacity that should efficiently cover spaces up to 450 square feet more then enough for my bedroom. Noise Level: Operates at 45 to 48 decibels, which is significantly quieter than standard window units. Features a Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (CEER) of 10.9 to 11, translating to an estimated low operating cost which remains to be verified after extended use. It is built with 6 operational modes (Cool, Dry/Dehumidifier, Fan, Auto, Sleep, and ECO) and 3 fan speeds. This saddle-mount air conditioner is a great design and works very well. One of the best features is that it does not block the entire window like a traditional window AC, so you still keep your outside view and natural light. That was one of the main reasons I decided to try this model. Installation was much easier than expected. The saddle-style design helps distribute the weight better, making it feel very stable once installed over the window sill. Even though the unit weighs around 65 lbs, it was still easier to position than a regular window air conditioner. The unit comes with all the standard features you would expect including multiple cooling modes, adjustable temperature controls, a timer, and a remote control with a clear LCD display. The remote responds quickly and is easy to use from across the room. Cooling performance has been excellent so far. It cools my bedroom quickly and keeps the temperature consistent without constantly running at maximum power. Noise level is about average for a 10,000 BTU air conditioner. It is noticeable when running but not overly loud or distracting. Overall, this is a very well-designed air conditioner that combines strong cooling power with a much better window setup than traditional units. This u-shaped air condition is a really nice unit. I needed this style of air conditioner because my dog would try to knock the smaller cube style ones out of the window. This thing is big and heavy, so just be prepared for when you have to move it around. If you get two people, it is pretty easy to get it installed and going. It is packed extremely well, basically like a box within a box. Once it was plugged in, it fired right up and within a few seconds was blasting cold air. It didn't take long to get the bedroom freezing, so it worked very well, I actually had to set it lower. I think you could probably cool a march larger space like a living room with this one.

I’ve been pretty happy with this AC so far. It cools my room quickly and has no problem keeping a larger space comfortable. The different modes are useful, especially the sleep and energy saver settings, and the dehumidifier mode definitely helps with humidity with all the rain we’ve been getting. The U-shaped design is probably my favorite feature because it’s noticeably quieter than a standard window unit, and I like that it doesn’t completely block the window or natural light. Being able to still open the window for fresh air is a nice bonus too. Installation was easier than expected and didn’t require a bunch of tools or complicated setup. The washable filter is also convenient for maintenance. Overall, this seems like a well-designed and efficient AC unit that balances cooling power, quieter operation, and energy savings really well.
