As someone with a bad back and hands, I was so relieved at how easy this Electactic 10,000 BTU window air conditioner was to install. No drilling or screwing into the window frame required — a massive bonus for anyone worried about that! It’s surprisingly lightweight for a window unit, so I could actually carry it into the house myself without too much struggle. I cannot get over how well it cools the room! I woke up chattering my teeth one night at 66°F (19°C) while it was 88°F (31°C) outside. It keeps the room nice and cold even on the economy setting. The remote is one of the better ones I’ve used on a window unit — responsive and no need to wave your arm around to find the sweet spot. It’s not an eyesore either and runs quietly enough that I can finally hear my Joe Bob Briggs episodes properly from the bed, instead of having to sit right at the foot of it like with my old unit. Best of all, having this in the bedroom plus the other unit in the family room has made the whole house feel noticeably cooler and more comfortable. I’m 10/10 happy with this purchase. If you need reliable cooling for a medium-sized room (up to about 450 sq ft / 42 m²) without the hassle and expense of a full central system, this one is excellent value and performs brilliantly. Our bedroom air conditioner doesn't reach our living room, so it's been at a constant 89° for the past month. Finally caved and bought another air conditioner, and this one is better than the other thankfully. We we're skeptical cause it arrived damaged in the back (it looks like someone kneed it in one spot and has scratch marks all over in the back) but it works perfectly fine. The remote is nice but it sucks that you have to unscrew it first cause it requires a super small screwdriver. It chilled our room from that 89° to 60° (by choice) in less than 2 hours. Most reviews say it's noisy, but it isnt like a horrid noise. Just sounds like heavy wind, or rain outside. Gonna make sure I save this incase our bedroom one breaks. ... show more

I’m so pleased with this ac, it was easy to install. Wasn’t too heavy and has been cooling the living great. We needed an ac for the living room so my dogs can be cooled while I’m working and this is doing just that. It’s not too loud either it just sounds like a wind blowing rather than a loud machine. It’s a great affordable and easy to install window ac. I did just have to buy window panels because our windows slides from the rather than from the top how this unit it build for but even then the install was wash and only took about an hour or less. ... show more

Bought one while on sale. Easy installation and it quickly cools down the room. Has several different modes from echo to sleep. Isn’t too loud to me. Easy to use remote. The remote really being on the only thing that can be improved on. I didn’t see the need to use a microscopic screw to hold the back plate on where the batteries go ( included by the way ). Remote should also include all the modes instead of having to get up and switch the unit from cooling to dry. ... show more

Wow, this little AC is really quite powerful. My apartment has a big living room that goes into a hallway and kitchen. I also have three large windows that fill the room with sun and make it REALLY hot in the summer; I'm talking 85-90 degrees when I come home from work. And the air is humid. I used to have a 12,000 BTU portable AC in the living room that managed to cool down half the room. It could take the temperature from 90 degrees to 82, but struggled to get below that, so I decided to buy this little AC. I thought 10,000 BTU's may not be enough for my space, but it is! Within 10 minutes my room goes from 90 to 80 and by 1 hour it's down to 70 degrees. It cools the entire living room, portions of the kitchen and hallway.
