Fresh Ice in Minutes Without Taking Over the Kitchen

A countertop ice maker is one of those appliances I didn't realize could be so convenient until I had one available. Instead of waiting for ice trays or depending entirely on the refrigerator's ice maker, this machine can start producing a batch of nine pieces in about six minutes under the right conditions. I like the relatively compact design because I can use it in the kitchen, office, or when entertaining without dedicating permanent space to a large appliance. The carrying handle also makes moving it around much easier when I don't need it sitting on the counter. With a listed production capacity of up to 26.6 pounds per day, it can make a surprising amount of ice for such a small machine. Of course, that daily number assumes you're continuously emptying the basket, adding water when needed, and allowing the machine to keep running. The included ice basket and scoop are convenient, and I especially appreciate the self-cleaning function. Anything that regularly holds water needs to be kept clean, so having a cleaning cycle makes routine maintenance easier. I still empty and dry it when it's not going to be used for a while. One thing to understand about countertop ice makers is that they generally aren't intended to function like a freezer. If I'm making ice to save for later, I transfer it into the freezer rather than expecting it to remain frozen indefinitely in the basket. Overall, it's fast, convenient, and especially useful when we need more ice than the refrigerator can comfortably keep up with. Six minutes for another batch of ice is a whole lot better than opening the freezer and discovering somebody used the last of it and forgot to mention it.

The Little Ice Maker Is Still Going Strong; Makes Good Ice

We are ice crunchers; all 3 of us in our household. My Mother-In-Law loves ice and so do I, so we were purchasing a ton of bagged ice from the local convenient store. This can really add up! We have a refrigerator ice maker/dispenser but our town has super, hard water and the ice just doesn't taste good, so we've been buying bagged ice for quite awhile. Saw this little ice maker for sell and for the price, we thought it would actually pay for itself after a couple of days so we ordered it. We've had it since this past summer and it has been running basically non-stop ever since. We do use a filter pitcher for the water we put in the machine. I don't know the consistency of the ice just using straight tap water but the ice from the filter pitcher comes out as a "soft" ice, which we all really like. It is a small machine and has a small basket. It has an indicator light that tells when the basket is full and ready to be emptied. It makes the ice pretty fast so doesn't take long to fill the basket up. The ice is soft enough that we simply empty it into our refrigerator ice maker bucket and dispense out of the ice dispenser. It has a setting for self cleaning that works great and a small plug that can be pulled out on the bottom of the machine to drain the water after the cleaning cycle is finished. I simple take a light, soapy rag and wash out the water tank and then rinse it out with clear water and it's ready to "fire" up again for more ice. It has paid for itself over and over again. May have to invest in a larger ice maker down the road but this was a perfect machine to test out first. It is portable so if you want to take it with you in an RV, Cabin, Camping, Tailgate Party, it would actually be a nice addition to these activities too!

Convient, and useful

I'm pretty much satisfied with this machine. I thought the ice bin was smaller than I expected, but it worked out. The ice maker is fast. It only takes 10 minutes or less to fill. I haven't tried the cleaning process yet,but I don't see any potential problem. Stay tuned. If you use the scoop to break the clutter it works well. The appearance looks very good on the counter. I pay $ 250.00 a year for filters on the refrigerator. This machine is definitely going to pay for it self. There is no after taste in the ice because I use a leveling water dispenser. My drinks are ice cold when I need them to be. However I wouldn't suggest this machine for large family or guest use. It's just not made for it.

This is my favorite ice maker machine! I didn't realize the machine was so small but ironically this is exactly what I needed! I've had high end and low end machines and the problem is cleaning them! After my last big machine malfunctioned, the thought of removing all the screws to clean and replace was overwhelming, straight to the trash it went! I've learned the bigger the machine, the more problems. This small machine is efficient, fast, makes perfect ice and overall I would definitely rate 10/10! I would definitely purchase this machine again and gift it to others!!

Piece of Junk, zero Amazon help

This product stopped working 4 days before one year warranty expired. Site instructions were to contact Amazon to reach manufacturer. Amazon provided zero customer service other than 1st claiming to have successfully filed a claim. Never heard from that. 2nd was your out of luck only 30day. Checked paperwork, contacted manufacturer 2 days shy of warranty ending. Literally told her I'm here until 5pm get it submitted or it's voided. I contacted you before warranty end date yet had to rush home from work to submit a video to person via text of all ways. Never spoke to a actual human. Told to clean it like I hadn't done so the week before. But did it. Only to be told submitted a claim. Next time by text 5 days later engine has more questions. As if the video didn't obviously provide details. Gave up! 70.00 wasted on this device. Zero service from Amazon and manufacture is a joke, as if I'm a complete idiot. I gave up my time and nerves at this point. DO NOT BUY. Shame on you Amazon and who ever is at the end of company texting me. What a cheap piece of crap..zero stars from Amazon to Manufacturing. Should take seller off your site for being a rip off. This has been the most terrible business transaction ever! Finally wrapped up albeit a year warranty only offered 50% not a replacement. Then have to open a Zelle account to get the 50% paid despite its dying within 10 months. Do not buy it's a piece of junk and literally offer no replacement despite having a 1 yr warranty. Shame on Amazon for having a seller of this kind in their business profiles.
