Fantastic game, I have it for my other platforms and when it got announced for the switch 2, I had to get it as it's nice to be able to play it portable and on the go, one of my favorite games of all time added to a portable device I'm using majority of the time gets the fix and really worth it to me. You also get some new weapons, and some new classes to try out, and I was surprised to find that yeh game runs actually very well, and at first I was like it's only 30 fps and thought I wouldn't enjoy it like that, however once I booted the game up I forgot about the frames as the world looked absolutely fantastic still, and gameplay is very smooth, there is some areas that will make the game dip briefly, specifically around lenne's rise with the tree foliage in the background, but it seems to dip if you load in there. I think another patch to touch up on the frames would help as I think some other areas where there may be denser foliage may make it dip. So far the adventure is very fun and much enjoyable though ... show more

ELDEN RING: Tarnished Edition - Nintendo Switch 2 An Incredible Soulslike Adventure That Belongs in Every Switch 2 Library ELDEN RING: Tarnished Edition is an absolutely fantastic addition to the Nintendo Switch 2 library. From the moment I started exploring the Lands Between, it was obvious that this is the kind of game that can keep you busy for an unbelievable amount of time. The combination of massive exploration, challenging combat, incredible environments, mysterious characters, and deep RPG mechanics makes this one of those games that feels like a complete adventure rather than simply another action RPG. The open-world design is one of the biggest highlights. There is an incredible sense of freedom because the game rarely makes you feel like you have to follow one specific path. You can explore, discover hidden areas, stumble across unexpected enemies, find new weapons and equipment, or simply wander around to see what is waiting over the next hill. There is always something interesting around the corner, and the game does an excellent job rewarding curiosity. The combat is challenging but extremely satisfying. ELDEN RING expects you to learn enemy patterns, manage your stamina, choose your attacks carefully, and know when to dodge, block, or back away. Defeating a difficult enemy after several attempts feels genuinely rewarding because you know it was your own improvement that made the difference. There are also so many different weapons, spells, abilities, and character builds that experimenting with different playstyles is a huge part of the fun. The world itself is spectacular. The environments are incredibly detailed, ranging from beautiful landscapes and mysterious ruins to enormous castles, underground areas, caves, and terrifying locations that look like they came straight out of a nightmare. The atmosphere is fantastic, and there is a constant feeling that the world has a much larger story hiding beneath the surface. I also really appreciate how much content is packed into this game. This is not something you finish quickly and forget about. There are countless areas to explore, bosses to fight, items to discover, quests to uncover, and different builds to experiment with. Even after spending a significant amount of time playing, there is still plenty left to discover. For Nintendo Switch 2 owners, having an adventure of this scale available on the system is especially impressive. Being able to experience a huge open-world RPG in a handheld-friendly format makes it easy to lose track of time. The ability to pick up the console and continue exploring wherever you are is a major part of the appeal. The Tarnished Edition is an excellent package for anyone who has been waiting to experience ELDEN RING on Nintendo hardware, while longtime fans have plenty of reasons to return to the Lands Between as well. The combination of exploration, combat, character customization, atmosphere, and sheer amount of content makes this one of the most impressive RPG experiences available. There is definitely a learning curve, and the difficulty will not appeal to everyone. However, that challenge is also what makes the game so rewarding. Every victory feels earned, and every defeat teaches you something that can help you succeed the next time. Overall, ELDEN RING: Tarnished Edition is an outstanding RPG with an enormous world, fantastic combat, tons of customization, and enough content to keep players occupied for a very long time.     • Don’t listen to the haters!! Buy it.
The game runs just fine. I’ve played in docked and handheld. I’m about 30 hours in. I purchased this to be able to play on the go (as I currently own it on my Xbox as well) I have no complaints, I’m enjoying it just as much as I did the first 3 play thrus. I’m really happy to see the switch get ports like this. SUPPORT so we can get even more. ... show more

It’s great, wish performance was a bit better from fromsoft considering there’s games with better graphics that run better on sw2 but it’s mot bad. Hopefully an optimization patch in the future

    • FPS dips and game key card
Great game and awesome to see it on the switch FINALLY. Some minor issues happen with too many enemies on screen such as Demi-human forest ruins. It also has this weird stutter in visuals when rotating the camera that can be nauseating at first especially if you’re used to other versions of the game. The drops in frames and stutters when you turn the camera these all happen with it being docked . The game itself is great and otherwise runs smoothly. I’d probably give this 4/5 even with the few problems if it WASNT a GAME KEY CARD. Yeah.. bleh ... show more

    • Impressive and Stable rebuild of the engine.
A very awesome port! While not as beautiful as graphically as the Xbox-S, it is highly stable and still impressive, considering how it plays handheld. Lots of fun if you wanna lay down and quest at the end of the night!
