This is a good quality item, it adjusts to fit me well and I am a petite woman, it is comfortable to wear. It does in fact immobile the elbow and not allow you to bend it. I think it is a good option if you need straight immobilization. Depending on your elbow and nerve situation, you might need immobilization that employs a slightly bent elbow, if that is the case this is not for you and there are options that have a slight angle. If you are looking for straight immobilization this is a good option to consider.

This one.... ....looks longer than the other 5 I've ordered so far. And it is. I randomly grabbed a couple of the other braces; one was 5 inches and another was 5 1/2 inches edge to edge. This one creates a cuff that is 8 1/2 inches. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but have had a bit of tendonitis above the elbow, near my tricep for the last month or so, so have been on a Vine reviewer binge ordering different varieties of elbow braces. Some a single tubular sleeve, some a small firm foam pad with a neoprene adjustment strap, and this type. As the product page mentions, this has (removable) metal side splints. They are secured in their own sleeve on each side of the cuff and stay in place covered by a velcro type flap/closure. They are easy to remove/put back in/ if you choose to. They do a competent job of immobilizing the arm, if that's what you're shooting for. There is an attached liner which you can choose to have on top or under your elbow. The buckles are made of plastic. The hook and loop ("Velcro") closure that creates the cuff, are strong and capable. Are the straps long enough? Laid flat, as best I could, from the edge of the cuff to the end of the two outer straps measures 19 inches. With the metal side splints removed, I found this helpful, wearing it during my strength training workout. I wore one of the other cuffs on the other arm (as preventative) and this on the arm presenting with tendonitis; I liked the extra length and support this provided. This appears to be of quality materials and workmanship. Helpful, glad I ordered. I hope this review has been helpful and enables you to make an informed purchase decision. I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

This elbow brace offers great stability with the two metal splints installed. It keeps your elbow straight, not allowing it to bend. The splints can be removed to allow range of motion in the elbow while still offering great support. It is easy to put on and off and stays in place while wearing. The material is lightweight, breathable, and comfortable to wear. It is held in place with 3 velcro straps that are adjustable. It's really helped me with my elbow and arm pain. I'm glad I got it.

This elbow brace offers the right compression for pain relief. It can be used with or without the splints. I prefer without as I use it while raking the yard, so I need some movement in the elbow. It certainly helps.
