Changed my viewing experience!! Remotely convenient..
Color: Nightglow Blue
Fits great on remote. Feels nice in the hand. Stays put instead of sliding of cushions or between blankets., easy to find with lanyard. Greatly reduces accidentally button pushes and eliminates searching for touch pad and orientation. Glow in dark is subtle. Magnets are a little weak, but they hold just barely when put on a metal vertical surface as long as you don't touch it or walk with a heavy foot near it or bump the surface it's attached to. Great product. Would buy again.

Picks up the ball that Jony Ive and the Apple design team dropped on the Apple TV remote.
For a company that prides itself on minimalist design and intuitive functionality, Apple really blew it on the Apple TV remote! There is like no way the people that designed this actually watch TV in a real living room. Jony Ive and his team must have been out shopping for more $200 V-Neck T Shirts and just mailed the remote design in. I ordered 5 similar designed covers and this Elago R1 was the best of the bunch in terms of fit and feel. It address most of what should have been done by Apple's design team: 1) First off the much discussed 'directionality' issue. The Apple remote is classic 'rule of thirds' design that goes surface-buttons-surface. Which surface is the touch pad? Who knows? This cover covers up the bottom surface meaning you can instantly tell where the trackpad is either visually or by feel. 2) With this cover you can actually pick the darn thing up from a flat table. The original (small metal silver) Apple TV remote had a beautiful convex back that meant it was easy to pick up from a flat coffee table. Not so with the new black remote that sits flat and sides are hard to grasp smooth metal. This cover has a front and rear platform "bumpers" meaning there is open space on the bottom. In addition, the material is much easier get a hold of. Which, brings me to........ 3) Remote is much easier to grasp and use. Again, the first Apple TV remote was a combination of curves, yet also had some 'sharp' edges and it was much easier to hold in your hand to use. This new black one is smooth, and has no edges that provide any sort of grip or control. We would also keep accidentally touching the track pad while trying to grip it. With the soft silicone it is MUCH easier to hold in your hand and use and helps prevent accidental track pad touches. 4) You can actually FIND the thing now! I can imagine Jony Ive's living room being a mix of beautiful modern light greys and whites and if this little slab of black should be dropped, it would stand out like sore thumb. For the rest of us, with darker wood tables, couches, etc. Finding this little black candy bar can be darn near impossible especially in low light. Again, the original Apple TV remote being silver was easier. The cover makes the remote harder to slide between cushions as well as being easier to find should it do so. Now - if somebody would find a way to make all the actual hard buttons easier to tell by feel in the dark, we would actually have a decent remote..................

If you have young children, BUY THIS
Color: Black
You're reading this to know if it fits the AppleTV 4th Generation Siri Remote, right? It does. Like a glove. Perfectly. Can you charge the remote in the case? Yes. Easily. No need to remove the case for charging. Does the infrared transmitter on the remote work in the case to adjust the TV volume? Yes. No problem at all. Is the case magnetic? Yes. Two POWERFUL magnets are in the silicone case, but can be easily removed if you have reason to not want them there. How good is the strap? Well, it's nearly identical to the ones that come with the original Nintendo Wii remotes. It's removable. It has a locking clasp to cinch it down tight on your wrist. And it's strong. Is it cleanable? I cleaned mine with Dawn dish soap. Cleans right up. Does it protect the remote? My two year old has yet to destroy it. Yes. Absolutely. The real question I have is: "How is this not shipped WITH the AppleTV?" I appreciate the sleek design of the remote. I really do. But It's so slick I feel like I'm going to drop it, and replacements are EXPENSIVE. It gives it a DEGREE (a little bit) of shock protection and water resistance. My remote is in pristine condition inside this thing. Just like the iPhone I'm writing this review on, inside its Otterbox Defender. That's what this case is. It's an Otterbox Defender for your AppleTV remote. Just buy it already.

Makes the Apple TV remote usable
Color: Sand Pink
My biggest complaint about the Apple TV has been its poor ergonomics that leads to a terrible user experience. It is so thin and flat that it is difficult to pick up off of most surfaces. The symmetry makes it had to figure out the correct orientation, especially in the dark. The responsive track pack is great in use, but far too easy to inadvertently hit when picking up and trying to figure out which was is up. This silicone case solves all of these issues. Elevating the remote slightly with a grippy material makes is easy to pick up. A window for the track pack and buttons makes orientation simple to figure out whether or not I am looking at it. The small ridge around the button opening eliminates unintended button presses. The slightly larger form factors makes it less likely to slip in between couch cushions. Lastly, the magnets in on the back opens up more options for storing in a place it can be easily found. I was so delighted with my first one I bought a second.

A big improvement
Color: Black
Apple has always been a force in product innovation, style and often performance. But even the most loyal user of their products can agree that some of their ideas work better in real life than others. My Apple TV is an important part of my home entertainment system, especially since I cut the cable. But from day one I’ve believed the remote wins more on looks than on function. It’s actually too small and slippery for my hands and oddly balanced to use without brushing the wrong button at the wrong time. And I never seem to have a place to put it when I’m not actually using it. WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE Of the several similar styles of cases for the Apple remote available this one is made with a couple of magnets that not only give it a little better feeling of balance but let me pop it on and off the metal leg of my chair-side end table where it is right within reach all the time. DESIGN It really looks like something Apple would have designed themselves and made that way as well. The remote slips into the case and the biggest improvement is the large non-slip lower third that gives me a place to get a better grip on the remote firmly with my thumb so I can have more control over the sensitive trackpad at the top. FEATURES I’m not big on lanyards, I prefer to set my remote down when I’m not using it, but friends that use the remote for gaming say they really like it. And the lanyard that is provided with this case is more than substantial My remote seems to hold a charge forever so I’m not concerned about access to the charging port but nevertheless the large cutout makes it easy to access. VALUE The price for the basic black case is reasonable but I think the premium is too much if you prefer one of the several other color options. Note that this will work with all Siri-enabled Apple remotes (the ones with the black top surface and silver metal back. The older style Apple remote without the trackpad is an entirely different style and will not fit. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT Let’s be real, you can’t expect perfection for the price but there are a couple of things they could have done better. One is that the fit is good but not perfect, the remote doesn’t fit as snugly as it could. Another is the fact that they had a lot of space on the back of the case for the magnets but the ones they used are not as powerful as they could be. The remote in its case isn’t heavy but still when I stuck it to a metal surface over time it tends to slide downward very slowly. Using a case or not is a personal choice for me - it is a big improvement over not having it.

Love it!!!
Color: Black
This is my first Apple TV case for my first Apple TV remote and I love it! I've had it for only two days but my first impression of this case so far is pretty good! There are a couple of things that I've notice that could be off putting for some, so I'll point those out. I purchased one white and one black and they both have a smell that I can't quite put my finger on but I think it's like propane??? I don't know. I think it's fading now, and like I said, it's only been two days, either that or I'm getting used to it, and I can only smell it if I put my nose to it so it really isn't a problem. The other thing I noticed, is that the IR range to my TV (I hope I'm explaining this correctly) has been diminished. Like I have to point the remote a little more directly toward the TV to adjust the volume, than I did before. It's a little annoying but it hasn't a big been a problem. I haven't, however, found any issues, of this sort, with controling the Apple TV. So those are the only issues I have come across.....nothing that would cause me to take away any stars because this case feels awesome and looks awesome! I don't know about protection but I'm not about to drop it on a hard floor on purpose but any case is better than nothing and it feels sturdy. Oh yeah, another thing I read in some other reviews about other cases was a problem about interference with the track pad and I'm happy to say that I haven't noticed any interference at all, that was something I was also very concerned about but everything works as it should.

The BEST apple tv remote covers
Color: Black
I love the apple tv remote but it is slippery and not ergonomically comfortable to hold since it's a flat slim piece of material. No curvature or ridge for your palm or fingers to hold it comfortably. This elago cover takes care of that problem 100%. Not only is the design minimalist and helps the remote maintain its slim form factor, it's black so it really doesn't take away from the original look of the remote. The silicone gives it a non-slip feel and the small ridge in the back helps your finger hold it when trying to scroll or press on the button. Added bonus is that it protects the remote from drops on the floor or scratches from setting it down dozens of times a day onto a glass or wooden coffee table. Love this thing. We have 3 of them now. Highly highly recommend!
