The App will install and it'll launch and you'll see the picture for a brief second and then it just crashes I can't do anything about it I've tried even going into my developer settings- strange cuz it was recommended for Amazon Alexa and I was planning on setting it up that way I was concerning switching over but this changed my mind I just put it on my Google Home system which I now really really like but it's grown. Honestly that's the only reason I took a star away..... But you try to pull down up and then it's just keeping stuff from running so I can see the actual picture The other problem is you have to make sure your Bluetooth pairing is always good you can't let whatever it's pair to die or you're chime might not work It may still work because it's supposed to stay paired but sometimes it can unpair honestly the way it's built makes it very easy for someone to just walk up with a hood over their face and take it even if you have cloud security there's nothing you can do thwn - when I read the description for this it said that you could store on internal memory and we're not required to purchase the cloud subscription Well here's the catch You're not required to keep a cloud subscription or pay for anything but you are required to have one because that's how it records It uses two 18650 batteries (rechargeable lit like what people refer to as standard vape batteries) the also come in a lot of lasers flashlights headlps power banks and moree And the unit is powered by two of these they're only 2600 milliamp but it uses next to no energy unless there's always going to be movement in front of your place like in my place there's a hallway with other doors that are always opening and people going in and out So the batteries aren't going to last long, honestly I kind of like this feature in a way and the batteries aren't bad I just use them as a backup for my headlight and I installed an expensive pair of high 50 amp drain continuous max rated 3500mah and I get a battery that after last a month of use is still 91% full according to my charger and I had been messing with it quite a bit eat I just always feel the need to check to make sure my chime still paired to my doorbell because it can just kind of stop working sometimes It's rare but that's what makes it kind of sinister because you don't notice until it's been happening for quite some time usually. Their needs to be an SD card slot and when I read this originally it said that there was SD storage Well there isn't unless there's some spot on the chime I'm missing but there's nothing listed in the manual about it or anything So that's very disappointing I even remember buying SD cards after I bought this doorbell that would match its max capacity which I believe was 256 GB. Can't remember now It might have been 64 or 128 but regardless I'm going to try installing this on another secondary phone that's very powerful and I used to control my home as a hub, and if I can't get it working I'm going to return it and I would tell someone don't waste your time with that unless you're just looking for a doorbell that happens to have a video in it and you want to be able to use 18650 batteries. The other thing is the mounts that it comes with are not very secure if they should be at least made out of something that's backed with metal or something that has a part that folds over with a little lock and combination so you don't have to lose the key or even a key would be fine honestly but someone can just walk up and pop it right out and walk away not good. I guess it's a deterrent to see that but still makes me nervous, and I really hope that I get it working but I've put several hours into it which is silly to set up a doorknob it's just take a few minutes The longest part should be just the installation and leveling it. Does come with a sticky mount as well but I wouldn't count on that at all It's very very low quality and honestly I've considered sticking the sticky mount inside of the normal amount to try to make it harder to remove for someone who's in a hurry. If you're looking for a very secure doorbell if you're looking for SD storage if you're looking for cloud storage you don't need to pay for anything like that this is not your doorbell Time cannot be adjusted by the way and is kind of annoying and generic and cheap sounding and just the construction overall of that unit is very cheap and they don't tell you how many milliamps it's supposed to use and I know it's a smart device and it's a pretty wide range but with the way USBs changing that should be included there's a lot of complaints. So I'll be testing that out today and we'll see if it goes back cuz I need to send it then. And please report however on two of my phones and another device the app works perfectly fine. And it works great with Google Home I just would not suggest in the Amazon devices with this they simply can't handle the processing power if you're running anything else and even then they'll become unstable and crash ... show more

Super easy to set up, good quality camera for the price, even at night. Mine came with the battery already at 50%, and since it’s been installed 2 days ago, it’s still at 50%. It notifies my phone of movement at my front door & the chime is loud - (I didn’t need to use my chime with the notifications. When someone rings the doorbell, it rings your phone like a call would! For the price, this is a good wireless doorbell. I gave 4 stars because I don’t like the ringer sound on my phone and there seems to be no way to change it. Other than that, it’s good.

Great quality video display for current activity monitoring. Very easy to set up. The only thing that’s bad is you can’t see a single past or stored video unless you sign up for their subscription iCloud plan which is approximately $30 a year.

    • Worth the price
The connection goes out sometimes, but I can't be sure if that's due to the wifi extender or the doorbell. The wireless indoor chime is a good feature since the previous doorbell I had connected to the existing wiring and didn't have enough current to activate the existing doorbell chime.

Good camera and looks great on my phone. Only thing that I kind of don't like it but just give you a pop up alert when someone approaches your door so what I did was downloaded a ringtone that says motion detected so that kind of helps.
