I've had this knife set for about 5 months now. So far, I haven't had any issues with the quality of these knives. Having read lower reviews, I've kept up with hand washing them and never letting them soak to prevent rust. They were incredibly sharp right out of the box. They have maintained that sharpness after 5 months. All materials seem to be of good quality. Given what a good knife set typically costs, I'd say you can't beat the price, especially with pretty frequent sales on the item.

I love the packaging of this knife set. Within the box, the block was packaged separately and the knives were wrapped individually, with a hard plastic protective piece on each knife tip. It arrived in attentive packaging to ensure that all parts of the order were fully protected! The knives and brown wooden block look exactly like they do in the pictures, if not better than the pictures! There are 18 different silver and black colored, high quality knives and sharpener that come with this order, which all fit nicely into the wooden block. The knives have some weight to them, have a nice grip, and are very sharp! The block is also of high quality and is well-built to hold all of the knives/ sharpener on a slant, so it fits perfectly on the kitchen counter top, underneath the cabinets. The aesthetic appeal of the knife set and block are also amazing, as the black/silver knives and brown wooden block match the overall theme (style and colors) of my kitchen. There is also a small instruction pamphlet which shows a picture of each knife and it’s associated formal name on page 1, what each knife is used for on page 2, and the recommended sharpening method, cleaning techniques and other tips on page 3. I find this to be extremely helpful, as I was not accustomed to using so many different types of knives, let alone when to use each type of knife. These knives save time assembling meals due to their sharpness, and are much safer than the dull knives that I was using. This is a fantastic knife set and I’m so excited to be able to use them for my daily meal prep!

The last knife set I purchased was many years ago, so I keep them for quite a long time. I've had this knife set for about a month, and I would definitely recommend it! Good look, good sturdy feel, a great edge on all of the knives out of the box, and they seem to be pretty durable especially for this price point! My only complaint is the angle at which the knives sit in the block. Something I didn't consider when purchasing this set is that my knife block sits on my kitchen counter, underneath a cabinet, which makes it difficult to remove the knives as they come out more straight up and down than towards the person pulling the knife out. Wish they would have cut a steeper angle, but I compensated this by cutting a small block of wood and propping up the back end of the knife block. It's not a perfect solution, but it definitely helped!

The media could not be loaded. I'm not paying chef quality prices, so I'm not expecting Chef quality knives. What I did get, was way better quality than I expected (which is always nice). Context for this review, these knives replaced a set that we've had over 20 years and were mid to high range quality. I bought 3 different sets to compare at the same time. One went back before being fully unboxed. The handles felt like light cheap plastic, and the set actually cost more. The other was more comparable, but still did not have the sturdy, comfortably weighted, feel of these knives. Plus, I love the extra smooth feel of the grips on these. The color is what bright me to the knives in the first place. It is as pictured. It goes great in the house in which we recently moved (with a much different color scheme than we've ever had prior to this). The knives have cut very well, especially for their price point which is always important to keep in mind. I loved everything about these including over the set we kept for over 20 years, except for one small thing. The scissor placement. This is an issue with many of the sets even the "higher quality" ones that cost much more. The Scissors are probably the most consistently used single item, but they have a lower profile and are stuck in the center of higher profiled knives. This does not make them as easy to retrieve or return as it would if they were in the front or at least a far edge of the block. I mean, it makes no sense to me to have a taller item (that is probably not used as regularly = knife sharpener) in front of the scissors. That is for me the only reason I could not give it 5 stars. I'm also a little worried about the actual block showing wear and tear relatively easily with the knives etc... coming in and out over time. But hopefully, that can be easily fixed with wood touch up. I have not been willing to put them in the dishwasher despite conflicting information saying they are dishwasher safe. One steak knife got put in by a guest and it came out just fine, but I personally still would not want to run the risk of effects over time. Overall I am thrilled with this knife set which has been in use for over 4 months before being reviewed. It is absolutely gorgeous and works and cuts well minus the scissors placement mentioned above.

I was surprised at the low cost of these knives. but the pictures looked like better quality knives So I decided to give them a try. So far, I have a great impression of them. They came out of the box nice and sharp. The construction of them looks professional. Even the packaging demonstrated good quality. I've only had them a short while but find myself wondering how I put up without them before. They are a great product for the price! At this point I would recommend buying them to my friends. I don't ever put knives in a dishwasher so I cannot speak to that part of their quality. They are, however, well balanced and comfortable to use. I have found they clean easily with a little soap and hot water.
