the setup is very good and easy. i got to plug it in the power strip and i works. i had no trouble connecting it to the Wi-Fi. i found this being very reliable and actually to take it with me if i truly need the portability. it can be a great stability along the way. the power comes from the plug with a phone charger. to make it portable simply add a portable station ... show more

The moment I inserted the USB, I noticed the Wi-Fi name and was able to connect to the internet no problem. Some people call this MiFi or mobile hotspot. It's a portable modem that provides solid internet. It's a major backup in case my main internet fails while working remote. Amazing device.

    • Cannot change APN
Well, I've always said good things about EIOT services and plans, but unfortunately, I can't really give this a great review for one big reason..... You cannot change the APN to use your own sim card. There is no option in settings to change APN. In fact, most settings are locked down by EIOT software. You can only set up the basics like admin and WiFi passwords. You can replace the sim card, but the modem will only try to "guess" the correct APN. Most of the time it doesn't find the right one, especially when using an MVNO. I could not get it to work with Tello or US Mobile (Verizon). I did get it to connect with US Mobile (T Mobile), but it was pretty slow. My guess is it will be just fine with the included EIOT sim card, but that was not what I bought it for. So you will likely be fine using the included SIM. The WiFi stremf was good and the modem seemed to work fine otherwise, I just wanted to share my experience. ... show more

Does what I needed it to do… to have access to internet on my Android radio without using my phones hotspot. Scan the QR code on the dongle and it will allow you to set up a data plan. Or you could get a sim from your cell provider.

Would give it a 5 but kinda slow untell you get into whatever your doing but so far it's works great. PS it says you have to use the Sim card and get data from it WHATEVER I put my tmobile sim in it witch has text talk and unlimited data and it exepted it and identifies it so yes you can use other Sim cards as long as its LTE. ... show more
