I suggest following these steps for the best combination: 1. Go to FleetFeet or some other shoe place that scans your feet for free using “My Volumental” and gives you a 3D model of your feet with all the details. They usually have foot specialists too. Have the report emailed to you. 2. Buy the correct size and type of shoe for your foot. I over-pronate so I got 11.5E Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22 which is a “support shoe” that helps with pronation (there could be better ones out there). 3. Switch out the standard support cushion with the Walkomfy insoles. It was a perfect fit for my shoe. 4. Enjoy! The Brooks Adrenalines did help to fix my pronation, but it was not enough. I could see and feel where my feet dipped inward from my arch. Their default cushion was just similarly shaped memory foam and not as high. This Walkomfy insole fixed that. It’s perfect AND the shape is supported by the shoe. That’s a key thing to consider. The shoe is designed for pronation and shaped like the insole. The insole has a higher bump for the arch support. I can feel both working together. This combination hugs my arched area perfectly and supports my ankles and legs properly to correct my over-pronation. When I step, there is no further inward tilt. The insole helps me to identify when I start to dip and feels springy. I will use that to train myself not to pronate. I can feel it even after I take my shoes off. Almost like it was a massage. Nice look. Moderate comfort but not near what is needed for Plantar fasciitis. Needs more cushion in the areas of heel to absorb shock and in ball of feet. Arch support seemed adequate. Please make plate on bottom more rigid also to limit the flexion in foot.

I imagine that this insole/insert would work fine for the right individual and the right shoe, but it did not work for me. I started with a pair of Reebok Royal BB4500 H2 High HI wide E basketball shoe in a USA size 10.5 This shoe does not have a removable insole. I normally wear a wide/E 10.5, but these shoes fit me sloppy loose and with almost zero arch support...but I still liked them. So, I got these insoles hoping they would take up some of the extra space in the shoe, and give me a little more support. They did, but too much so. They were killing my feet after a day of use, with the instep being the most painful part, even with the laces loosed up. I am supposing that if they had not had such a radical arch, and had been perhaps a couple of millimeters thinner all the way around, that they might have worked, and/or if the original insole had been removable. I'm going to try a pair of Dr. Scholl's Ultra Thin Insoles Massaging Gel Insoles and see how those work. I'll review those at another time, and maybe update this review to include my experience with the Doc Scholl's.
