This is a highly rated piece of equipment. Smooth cut, no gas of course, so it is nice and quiet. However, if you have always used a gas powered mower, you will find the battery powered mowers more difficult to use. Things that are more difficult are: tight places , turning, not good if the grass is ever so slightly damp. $1100 is a lot and when the batteries do get used up, you will have a very large outlay of cash. This is my EGO line up so far and I'm so impressed with this brand its insane these mowers and power tools are so quiet and smooth to use you can run them for hours non stop without charge with the right battery this 22 INCH mower is insanely smooth and light to use the self propelled motors are such a help and this mower cuts so well it leaves beautiful lines in the grass the cut quality is insane and the screen that shows the battery percentage really helps on letting you know how much time you have left these 6amp battery's have yet to die on me and I've used it to cut my grass my neighbors grass and even blowed leaves and the 6amp batterys still has 3 bars remaining I am so impressed I will continue to keep expanding my inventory with ego this brand is so amazing I'll never go back to gas ever. ... show more

    • Powerful suction with a quality cut

I like how this mower arrives nicely boxed and is all put together. Have mowed with it three times, lawn is one third of an acre. I tried mulching but didn't like how much the grass clumped up, so replaced the mulching blade with the high lift one. Used the rear discharge chute and it did a fantastic job. Mower is fairly easy to operate and control. I use the normal setting, height set on number 6. There have been a few times where when I released the self propel lever that the mower kept going. Has only happened 5 times in 3 hours of mowing. Just something to be aware of. The dual batteries in the mower give it a nice weight and help hold the front of the mower down when the ground gets uneven or bumpy. Mowing in 60 degree weather the batteries performed well, and I had 35% of life left when I finished the lawn. Temperatures dropped recently and I mowed when it was in the mid 40 s. Batteries ran down much faster and were dead before I could finish the lawn. Best features of this mower are the compact storage space, it is reasonably quiet and I don't need ear plugs. Also, it has great lift and suction. Lawn looks lovely when finished. The battery charger, recharges both batteries in less than 2 hours. It is a bit noisy with the fan running, but not bad. I am glad I got the 22 inch over the 21 inch model. Plastic deck isn't as easy to clean as a traditional metal or aluminum deck. I used a warm damp rag or paper towels and a plastic scraper. Have to clean it after each mowing. Hoping the mower and batteries will last 4 or 5 years. Satisfied with the mower so far. ... show more

It's great not to have to pull the cord with bad shoulders and arthritis. Also have a snow blower so plenty of batteries for either season. I can do full mow twice before charging on just under 5k sq ft.

Haven't used it much yet - winter showed up. Do like that it is quieter and no fumes - compared to my old gas mower. Design difference that I would like is less extension of the front wheels - so it would allow easier cutting at edges of lawn and around bushes and other yard items - basically easier maneuvering. ... show more

Used twice already and had a better cut then my gas powered Honda mower. Used 60% of the battery for a 1/3 acre lawn using the normal cut power. Very light and easy to maneuver. Used mulch blades so have not bagged with it yet. Mulched grass and leaves with easy. Would recommend for sure. Will update review at end of summer once I have used for a full season. ... show more
